Original 1950s issue with fantastic Ray Gaedke box art. In 1931, Post and Gatty flew the Vega 'Winnie Mae' around the world in 8 days, 15 hours and 8 minutes for a new world record. In 1933 Post tested a gyroscope automatic pilot and radio direction finder in another record flight lasting 7 days, 18 hours and 45 minutes. This aircraft is now in the Smithsonian Museum. Vegas did see military service, with a few operated by the RAAF, Spanish Republic Air Force, and USAAC. This model features moving control surfaces, cockpit detail, rotating prop and wheels, clear display stand and very colorful Winnie Mae decals. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

These aircraft are white with large green crosses.

First issue from 1960 with great hardbox artwork. This model features variable sweep wings, retracting landing gear, detailed jet engine, movable control surfaces and more. The X-5 was the first aircraft to change the angle of wing sweepback in flight, and paved the way for the legendary F-111 and F-14.
