NOTE: perfect builder kit only- please read carefully. Includes two kits. Together they make 1 complete model and 90% of another model. Rare original issue features over 140 parts for stock, custom and racing stock care versions, full engine and compartment, opening hood, detailed chassis with excellent suspension, exhaust and driveline detail and a full interior. There is no assembly to the original issue but NOTE: interior tub, dash, one seat, roll cage and 6 other small parts are painted. The other kit includes these parts unpainted. Missing the following parts, but these parts ARE included in the other model: (2) custom chrome wheels and spare tire. NOTE: decals are applied very neatly to the original body in the artwork stock care version. Again, not collectible but a perfect builder.

Includes many optional fire accessories - extinguisher, pair of boots, loudspeaker, hand lantern, first aid kit, gas mask, fireman's helmet, chief cap, roof siren, bell, spotlight and town of 'Silverglen' Fire Chief decals. The 4th issue dated 1967 and featuring the Mattel logo on the top and all four sides. This issue is from the classic 'Four Star' molds and uses the same box art with a different layout. This is great model featuring retracting landing gear, rotating wheels/props, three man crew, optional position cabin door, two survivors in life rafts and nearly flawless fit and finish to all parts. Molded in gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the decals are intact but have typical age microcracking. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.

Well detailed for that time and features working steering, correctly opening doors, hood & trunk open, full interior with fitted luggage, highly detailed engine and engine compartment, excellent suspension, underside and exhaust detail and spare tire. Molded in red, ivory, clear, chrome and with real rubber tires. NOTE: kit has very minor 'professional quality' assembly: 2 parts (fitted luggage halves) and 12 parts of step one are built. The interior shell is assembled, with the dash, mirror support, foot pedals and two grab bars. There is no other assembly and zero painting. Inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions and Renwal guarantee/parts list in mint condition. Chrome plate is in superb condition.
