Very Rare. From about 1943/44. Burkard kits almost never show up on the open market. They were exceptional solid wood display models for their time - highly prefabricated and very large scale. This one features a 15 inch wingspan, completely precarved fuselage (only needs final sanding), precut wings with airfoil, pre-cut stabilizers, fully formed wheels, other wood parts as required, canopy material with the frames printed on, two color insignia sheets, a corked glass bottle of glue and 'near mint' condition full size plans with building instructions. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts.

Lists for $214.00 new. NOTE: perfect builder kit ONLY, not collectible. Please read very carefully. An excellent, large scale and highly detailed model ideal for R/C operation. This kit has no assembly but NOTE: the bulkheads have been professionally sanded to the perfect shape in the plans, and the left and right of each is a perfect match. A few other of the die-cut parts are perfectly finished also, but there is no assembly. The overwhelming balance of the kit is complete. However, NOTE: missing several wooden parts, all of which are easily made because they are shown full size on the plans. They include the very short portion of the rear deck, rudder, superstructure roof, some of the planking strips and some stock wood. The fittings were inventoried and they are complete except for one double block. With full instruction book and full size plans, as well as full size copied templates which include most if not all missing parts. Again, this kit is a builder and not collectible. The Seguin was built in Bath, Maine in 1884. She spent her first 20 years towing wooden sailing vessels up and down the Kennebec River and towing cargo barges along the Atlantic coast from Maine to Virginia. In the early 1900s, she became a New York harbor tug, but returned to an active career in Maine. She retired in 1967. She was donated to the Maine Maritime Museum for restoration, being the only surviving example of her kind. But during during restoration her hull was found to be hopelessly rotted, and, with deep regret, the museum scrapped her. Very rare. Includes both carts. Likely from the 1940s. William H Lowe o., of Braintree Mass., issued the 'Wilo Line' which included a superb series of antique commercial firefighting equipment. The scale is given as 1/2" and the finished wagons are approximately 7 inches long. The kits were very advanced for the time and shared many of the pre-fabrication methods of Hudson Miniatures. Wilo Line kits features 'all parts in this kit cut to size and shape.' Includes plastic injection molded spoke wheels, precut and machined large and small wooden parts, beautiful, fully finished chemical tanks, metal screen, hose material, metal stock, a sealed bag of smaller parts including a great many more fully carved wood parts, cast metal parts and full size plans with numerous drawings and detailed text instructions. There is even a painting guide. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed small-parts bags with the non-sealed parts inventoried complete including instructions/plans. The kits in this line include Amoskeag Steamer, Hose Reel, Hose Wagon, Chemical Engine and many others. In most cases they are the only kits in existence of these historic vehicles. Bill Low did design at least one 'non-fire truck' kit in his Will-O-Line - a Conestoga Wagon, advertised as being 1/24 scale, kit #B14 for $2.85 listed as "This is another Museum Piece by Bill Low." After seeing these fire truck kits, I do not doubt that.

Wartime (about 1942-44) release from the famous Ideal Aeroplane & Supply Company, which was founded in 1911. Features an unusual and very nicely done hardwood pre-carved hull, metal fittings, wooden fittings and accessories, wooden stock as required, two large sheets of nicely printed bristol board parts and very nicely drawn plans with numerous templates, details and perspectives. I have seen this kit built, and it is beautiful and nicely detailed. Measures 22 inches when completed. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and plans. The box is all there but is only 'Fair+' because there is a great deal of masking tape on it.
