Very rare. Has a box art variation from the other issue of CR110. Likely from the 1940s. William H Low Co., of Braintree Mass., issued the 'Wilo Line' which featured a superb series of antique commercial firefighting equipment, all in 1/48 scale. Bill Low was the designer of all kits and he was a superb model maker. The scale is given as 1/2" (1/24) and the finished model wagon is approximately 7 inches long without the horse hitch and ~ 12 inches long with it. The kits were very advanced for the time and shared many of the pre-fabrication methods of Hudson Miniatures. Wilo Line kits features "all parts in this kit cut to size and shape." Includes plastic injection molded spoke wheels, precut and machined large and small wooden parts, metal stock, a sealed bag of smaller parts including a great many more fully carved wood parts, metal parts and full size plans with numerous drawings and detailed text instructions. There is even a big photo of the actual prototype and detailed painting instructions. The kit has never been started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the parts that were never sealed are inventoried complete including plans and instructions. The kits in this line include Amoskeag Steamer, Hose Reel, Hose Wagon, Chemical Engine and many others. In most cases they are the only kits in existence of these historic vehicles. Bill Low did design at least one 'non-fire truck' kit in his Will-O-Line - a Conestoga Wagon, advertised as being 1/24 scale, kit #B14 for $2.85 listed as "This is another Museum Piece by Bill Low." After seeing these fire truck kits, I do not doubt that.

Late 1960s Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. This model is nicely detailed and the later issues of this same kit state that it can be converted to a 'road racing' or slot car. Features detailed molded chassis underside with separately molded front and rear suspension, complete interior, top boot or top in the 'up' position and rear trunk mounted spare tire. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one of five outer wheels (model has a trunk spare). All inner wheels and all other parts are present, but one inner wheel is another color. It is from a later issue of this same kit. With instructions.

Second box art issue of this Aurora kit which dates from 1962. Full hull model that was quite nice for that time. Features props and rudder detail, very nice superstructure, separately molded main, secondary and 20mm AA guns, raised 'wood' decking and separate details as small as searchlights, display stands and nameplate. NOTE: this kit has neat assembly to two parts: The hull halves have been very nicely glued together by an adult. Quality of assembly is 'excellent++.' There is no other assembly and zero painting. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions.
