Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In this case, they used the car at the Montagu Motor Museum in Brockenhurst, Hant, England. Features detailed chassis, complete motor, removable hood, full interior, spoked wheels and more. Molded in gloss dark green and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Very popular model from high quality ex-Crown molds. Includes the ultimate array of 'extras' every issued with a B-52 kit. Features all recessed panel line detail, all the missiles listed and 5 extra clear display stands for each. Has decals for two different aircraft in camo or SAC Anti-Nuclear Flash white and silver. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Skybolt was a plan to deliver an ALBM (Air Launched Ballistic Missile) from a B-52 to greatly enhance it's survivability. Skybolt failed 5 of 6 initial tests, but finally was successful. However, the program was canceled due to the availability of the Polaris SLBM. Plans to equip the RAF Vulcan with Skybolt fell through and left with British with no modern nuclear force, causing them to adapt the Polaris SLBM and passing strategic nuclear capability from the RAF to the RN. AGM-28 Hound Dog was a sleek design to help B-52 penetrate thick SAM defenses. Hound Dog could use it's engines to help the B-52 during take off and then could be refueled from the B-52's tanks. This was an important point as the B-52 carried 2 of these missiles at 5 tons each. Hound Dog had a range of 200 to 500 miles (depending on launch height) at Mach 2.0 and an accuracy of one mile at those ranges. The warhead was 4 megatons. SRAM was a nuclear-armed short range missile carried in quantity of 20. SRAM was designed to blast holes in defenses in front of the B-52 and for the final target. Quail was a decoy that would mimic the B-52 with radar reflectors, infrared, radar repeaters and chaff decoys. Quail did reach operational status and operated on some Hound Dog-equipped B-52s

Rare 2nd issue dated 1963 but with the '249' kit number extension. If you look closely, this is the same artwork as the United 727 from 1962, but the Aurora artist carefully painted out the United markings, added the TWA Starstream markings and removed the UNITED neon sign from the background. Large, near 1/100 scale kit includes full landing gear, clear cockpit windows, full color decals and display stand. This model remains popular with 1/100 airliner modelers because it is the only 'short' body (-100) near this scale. Molded in white and clear with the big, clear 'world' triangle display stand. The box displays better than the grade, but is rated as such because there was a thin row of masking tape along the lower edges of the box top sides. There is still residue and damage from that tape.

1970s 'Bonus' issue from Airfix molds that includes the clear modular display stand, four thin, clear plastic 'in flight' prop discs and stock as well as wild custom decals. Well detailed model features elevating guns and rotating turrets, movable control surfaces, retracting landing gear, rotating props and optional position crew entry door and ladder. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the factory sealed bag and decals and instructions are included. The decals for the 392nd ship that was lost in action over Germany on April 11, 1944. Amazingly, the decals are in 'excellent++' condition which is rare for these 1970s MPC kits.
