1960s Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. later issues of this kit state on the side that it can be converted to model road racing (slot car). The model includes beautiful deep maroon injection molded parts, clear parts, detailed molded chassis and complete interior. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions.

I believe this is the former Otaki kit that was motorized. This Life-Like issue has the motorizing as optional, and they sold the motorizing parts separately. Ideal for R/C conversion. Features a one-piece, 32.5 inch long hull with stuffing boxes for all four props, detailed island structure, removable main decks, deck cranes and tugs, optional position elevators and an extensive airwing including F-4 Phantoms (folded wings and unfolded), A-5 Vigilante, A-6 Intruder, A-4 Skyhawk, E-2 Hawkeye, A-7A Corsair II and S-2 Trackers. There are two large decal sheets that include all deck markings, numbers and airwing markings. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and the static version is complete; the working version is missing (2) control horns for the rudders. Otherwise complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Please note, the instructions and decals have minor bug damage.

Original issue 'S' kit from 1957. Highly detailed. Features fully operational launcher and crew. Molded in black. NOTE: this kit has minor and neat assembly to 2 pieces. The tank halves (on the launcher) have been neatly assembled and painted. There is no other assembly and no other painting. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: The instructions are intact and completely usable, but have a closed tear in the center, a stain and have darkened. All parts are black plastic, but some are glossy and others are less glossy; some parts are from the original S issue but the less glossy ones may be from the later History Makers issue.

Has markings for 'Dee-Feater' of the 597th Sqn, 397 Bomb Group at Rivenhall, Essex and 'Mild and Bitter' of the 450th Sqn, 322 BG based at Great Ailing, Essex and was one of the first B-26s to complete 100 missions from the UK. Very nice kit. Includes full cockpit, extensive bomb bay detail, elevating guns and rotating turrets, rotating props and wheels, optional position bomb bay doors, crew boarding ladder, crew member and moving elevators.

They are one-owner kits and he was very meticulous, but he would cut up the sprues, leaving parts attached to the numbers but separated from each other. So far, 98% of everything has been complete from this collection, but almost always has very minor and 'professional' quality sub assembly (so count on it!). I did check for the obvious things (clear parts, large parts, instructions decals, etc) but they are sold AS IS.
