MPC Hot Rodder's Ghost Of America Stroker McGurk - Original Issue, 104-100

Rare original issue from 1964; not the common reproduction. This one is in investment-grade condition as well. Stroker McGurk was created and drawn by Tom Medley for Hot Rod Magazine. The popularity of the character gave MPC an idea - why not make a model? While an excellent kit, it proved to be a poor marketing choice. The kit was far less popular than the cartoons. As a result, the model was quickly and quietly withdrawn from production, making the originals very rare. The box is in amazing 'Near Mint' condition. the only flaws are very slight edge wear on the upper right corner and a slight crease 1/2" long. Inside, the kit is as new. It is molded in dark red and chrome plate. The chrome parts are in 'mint' condition. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 'near mint' condition decals and instructions. No scale is given but it is large; the body measures 10 inches long when assembled.

Rare. Dates from the around the early 1970s which is when ERTL licensed with International to make a great series of now hard-to-find kits. A very nice model featuring detailed V-8 engine and engine compartment, opening hood, choice of rims, very nice suspension, exhaust and driveline chassis detail, complete interior with roll bar, CB Radio and more. Molded in International red, clear, superb condition chrome plate and with rubber tires. Everything is factory sealed except the chrome, tires and body, which have all been inventoried complete. Includes instructions and decals.

Late 1960s Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of its kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. This model is very nicely molded with very good detail featuring full underside and chassis, spoked wheels and complete interior. Molded in dark green and clear. The box states that it can be converted to a 'road racing' or slot car. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
