The Ta-183 was the winner of the Luftwaffe's emergency fighter competition of 1945 and was to enter full scale production. The aircraft never entered production, but the Russians and the Americans found the plans. From them, the Russians eventually build some aircraft and modified them till it was the Mig-15 while the Americans relied more on Messerschmitt plans for the basis of the F-86 Sabre Jet.
