Oldmodelkits.com had received exclusive world-wide license from French Lines/CGT to produce and sell the SS Normandie in 1/350 scale. This nine-year project is a 100% new kit. Seven of those years were spent accurately modeling the ship from scratch in TurboCAD. All design work was done in CAD by Ken Friend, a master modeler and engineer who specialized in CAD/CAM/CAE Systems Management and Implementation. This limited-run kit represents the Normandie from her 1935 maiden voyage to New York and has over 1,000 individual parts. The hull and larger parts are pressure-cast resin from de-aired molds. There is one very large photoetched brass sheet for railings, ladders & fine details, ultra-high definition 3D printed davits, three sheets of real wood decking which is laser printed (and colorfast, unlike ink which can run when it gets wet), decals, flag sheet and a DVD with detailed, highly illustrated instructions including painting guide, step-by-step rigging instructions and research material. Please note, this is a previously owned kit. It was sold to a customer years ago; he did not build it and sold it back to me. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

This large scale, excellent model features full one-piece hull, detailed superstructure, bow sonar dome, hull 'fins', rudder and screw, rotating gun turret, directors and missile launcher, ASROC launcher, Tartar missile, helicopter and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Very rare first release from 1958. Only this issue has these exact missiles; future issues would delete some missiles and add newer ones. This is an excellent model that features a total of 31 missiles, a large, clear display base, color cardstock 'Missile Arsenal' insert for the base with all missile names, special clear 'in flight' display stands for all cruise missiles, full color decals, scale figures and a special booklet called "Know Your Missiles" with an introduction by the famous space scientist Willy Ley. Molded in the correct deep red, dark blue, white and clear plastic. The box has factory-new color and gloss, four solid original corners, no repairs, no tape or tape marks (except from the original factory sealing tape, of course) and no price tags or tag marks. It is graded 'Very Good+' because there is corner & edge wear, several very small missing litho chips on the side corners and a closed 3/4" tear on the lower long side. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts and the clear base & cardboard base insert in 'near mint++' condition. Includes decals, instructions and "Know Your Missiles" booklet. Instructions and booklet are in 'near mint' condition and the decals are in remarkable 'excellent+++' condition. Please note that this kit must be shipped insured.

Very rare and even rarer in complete condition. This is the 1959 first and only issue of this classic Monogram models and certainly one of the 'Holy Grail' for the manufacturer. The model features 18 aircraft (102 parts total), all to a constant 1/240 scale. All aircraft have an in-flight configuration accurate down to the upward-swept wing angle on the B-52. The display is made complete with all aircraft riding on 'Flight Wires' that rise from the special blue stand. The large decal sheet is in amazing 'Near Mint+' condition. It is flat and 100% intact with no visible micro-cracking and no yellowing. The instructions and Air Power book are both in 'Excellent+++' condition with light yellowing as the only significant flaw. The kit has never been started; there is no assembly. The flight wires are still in the factory sealed clear bag. The plastic parts have been inventoried 100% complete. The box is rated 'Good'. It has 'excellent' color and gloss, four solid original corners, no repairs, no price tag or tag marks and no tears. Wear includes many lithograph missing 'chips' as shown; these are due to bug damage. These chips are on the box sides also but there are slightly fewer than on the top. There is one very light crease about 1 inch long at the lower left corner. This kit must be shipped with postal insurance.

First issue from 1958. From the stunning artwork on this kit, it is clear to see why these models are considered the pinnacle of box art and why they are so collectible today. This is a finely molded and well detailed kit for that time and features removable canopy and detailed engine, pilot figure, landing gear and retractable landing skid, movable control surfaces & dive brakes and more. Includes Revell's famous round-based 'Globe' swivel stand, a separate, full size color and marking sheet with four views; there is even an excellent history of the aircraft. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The box displays better than the rating, but that is because there is some minor litho chipping and moderate edge wear, especially on the left side corners.

1955 'S' issue with some of my favorite artwork from this era. The box has wonderful color and gloss but is only graded 'Excellent' due to other light wear as shown. Inside, the model is molded in the correct gloss dark red plastic and has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
Resin Model Kit, Box Condition: Good+

Very rare. This is a highly detailed, limited production waterline model of this beautiful WWII ship. It is cast in high-definition resin, so the quality and detail is superior to any injection molded plastic kit in this scale. All of details are also resin cast. Never started. All parts are still in the factory sealed bags. With detailed plans/instructions.

Very rare model of the Garibaldi after she was heavily rebuilt into a Guided Missile Cruiser. After successful service in WWII, the ship was rebuilt at the La Spezia Arsenal; work began in 1957 and was completed in 1961. The reconstruction included a completely new superstructure and some dramatic rebuilding for the four launchers for the U.S. designed UGM-27 Polaris nuclear ballistic missiles. The US never provided the missiles; instead the Italian government set to develop an indigenous missile, called Alfa. (Alfa was successful in tests but due to fiscal and political pressure never went to sea as planned in Garibaldi or any other vessel.) Back to the rebuilt of the ship: Garibaldi's propulsion system was not changed but given an overhaul. The rest of the armament was radically altered: a RIM-2 Terrier missile launcher made Giuseppe Garibaldi the first missile cruiser in Europe. The big-gun artillery was replaced by four 135 mm/45 guns in two twin turrets and eight Oto Melara 76 mm/62 Type MMI AA guns. Electronics were greatly upgraded with several radars and modern fire control systems. She became Flagship of the Italian Navy and served until 1971. The actual kit is a highly detailed, limited production waterline model of this ship in the 1965 Rebuilt configuration. It is cast in high-definition resin, so the quality and detail is superior to any injection molded plastic kit in this scale. The details are also resin cast and photoetched brass. Even includes decals. Never started. All parts are still in the factory sealed bags and includes decals & detailed plans/instructions.

This is a large scale, well detailed model from 1961. The box has logos for three different series: Picture Fleet, Master Modeler Club and 50 Years of Naval Aviation; it is most likely the first issue for the JPJ. The actual kit measures over 15 inches long when assembled and features full hull, complete propeller & rudder detail, rotating turrets, elevating guns, detailed superstructure, gun directors, loading machine, torpedo tubes with torpedo davits & crane, ship's boat with davits, radar suite and more. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals, color flag sheet and instructions. There is no Master Modelers stamp.

1961 Sea Power and Master Modelers Club issue that is in exceptional condition. Even includes the USS Long Beach Master Modelers Stamp and the two trading cards (B-47 and KC-135). The actual model is from the same molds as the classic 1950s "S" kit. It is well detailed and features Regulus II Cruise Missile with hanger bay and launcher, nuclear reactor assembly with removable cover, helicopter, Terrier and Talos missiles and launchers, detailed superstructure & bridge, full hull with propeller and rudder detail, missile trackers, full antennas for the sensor suite, ships boats, life rafts, helicopter, accommodation ladders and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, flag sheet and instructions. Please NOTE that the box displays better than the 'very good+' grade. That is because small hole at the far lower right corner of the left short side and the two long sides have very old dry tape residue. The tape has long since fell off. CGN-9 U.S.S. LONG BEACH was the world's first nuclear-powered warship. She was launched in July of 1959 as the lead ship of the first new cruiser class since WWII. Originally designed as an all-missile cruiser, she was later fitted with two 5"/36 caliber guns amidships. After serving more than 33 years, she was decommissioned on 1 May 1995.

The Borax company commissioned this kit as a tie-in to the TV series 'Death Valley Days.' From looking at the moldings and instructions, I believe that Revell might have produced the kit for Borax. It is a very well detailed model with the 20 Mule Team, two Borax wagons and one water wagon. Never started. All parts are still in the factory sealed bags; includes instructions. Originally a radio program, 'Death Valley Days' had a long run on television and ended as one of the longest running westerns in entertainment history. The famous borax wagons would cross 162 miles of Death Valley with 20 mules in the days before the railroad. There was not a single house or other sign of habitation along the route. One leg was 60 miles with no water. The two wagons carried 25 tons of Borax and the mules covered 16 to 18 miles a day with a two man crew. The sturdy wagons were purpose built for the trip. Although they carried huge loads, there is no record of one every being stranded.
