From the 1970s. For decades this was the only way to build a 1/72 scale Avro York, other than scratchbuilding. This is a conversion kit that requires a base kit; the Airfix Lancaster is recommended (base kit not included). Includes white vacuform fuselage and other parts and full instructions with drawings. Never starte and inventoried complete.

Rare kit and still one of only two ways to build a 1/72 Marathon (the other kit is also a vac and from Magna Models). This model features fine recessed surface detail, injection molded main and nose landing gear struts, clear material for windows and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes plans/instructions with civil and military painting guides. The Miles Marathon was developed as a 4 engine airliner. Several aircraft did see service in this roll, but the market for the aircraft never really developed. The majority of excess aircraft were diverted for use by the Royal Air Force as navigation trainers and designated as Marathon T.11. To suite this new role, they received numerous internal modifications as well. These were retired in 1959. A few Marathons were operated by other UK military users, including the Royal Aircraft Establishment. The last remaining airframes were scrapped in the early to mid 1960s.

The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes illustrated instructions. USS Porter (DD-356) was the lead ship in her class of destroyers in the United States Navy. She was the third Navy ship named for Commodore David Porter and his son, Admiral David Dixon Porter.Porter was laid down by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation at Camden in New Jersey on 18 December 1933, launched on 12 December 1935 by Miss Carlile Patterson Porter and commissioned at Philadelphia on 27 August 1936, Commander Forrest B. Royal in command. After shakedown in waters off northern Europe, Porter visited St. John's, Newfoundland, for coronation ceremonies in honor of George VI in May 1937 and was at the Washington Navy Yard during the Boy Scout Jamboree, June–July 1937. Then reassigned to the Pacific Fleet, she transited the Panama Canal and arrived at San Francisco, California 5 August 1937. She operated continuously with the Pacific Fleet until the outbreak of World War II, homeported at San Diego, California. On 5 December 1941, Porter got underway from Pearl Harbor, escaping the Japanese attack by two days. She patrolled with cruisers and destroyers in Hawaiian waters before steaming in convoy 25 March 1942 for the west coast. She operated off the west coast with Task Force 1 (TF 1) for the next 4 months. Returning to Pearl Harbor in mid-August, she trained in Hawaiian waters until 16 October when she sortied with TF 16 and headed for the Solomon Islands. On 26 October 1942, TF 16 exchanged air attacks with strong Japanese forces northeast of Guadalcanal in the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands. During the ensuing action, Porter was torpedoed, and, after the crew had abandoned ship, was sunk by gunfire from Shaw (DD-373). Although many believe she was torpedoed by Japanese submarine I-21, Japanese records don't support this. More likely, an errant torpedo from a ditching U.S. TBF Avenger hit Porter and caused the fatal damage. Her name was struck from the Navy List on the 2nd of November, 1942.

The cruiser Jeanne d’Arc was the largest French cruiser in 1899, first oceangoing armoured cruiser and prototype for all following French armoured cruisers until 1907. Designed initially in 1892 as protected cruiser for overseas service, this was changed later and the design was modified by Engineer Emile Bertin as an armoured cruiser. Very different from previous armoured cruisers by this last minute change, she emphasised speed and range over protection, and was even considered woefully under-armed for her size. She did, however, have a long service career. But since she was not ideal for the fleet, she did however prove roomy and adaptable enough to be transformed as a dedicated training vessel after WWI and until 1928, starting a long lineage and tradition in the Marine Nationale. She was striken from the navy list in 1933.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good++
$145
Very rare and long out of production. This is one of only 2000 every made. Century Wings were made in Japam and they are among the finest factory-built and painted 1/72 die-cast model aircraft ever available; their famous F-14 Tomcat series is no exception. The box is intact and in 'good++' condition with light, even shelf wear as the only significant flaw. Inside, the model and parts have never been removed from the plastic holders and is in mint condition. Includes all parts. I do not see any paperwork.
