This very collectible early 1960s Japanese box art houses a high quality LS model that is engineered to be motorized with the battery in the stand. But on these kits he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he built minor sub assemblies (cockpit tubs, wing halves, etc) to 'professional' quality. He also almost always removed the display stands (if provided). This kit is from quality Airfix molds and is one of the MPC issues with wild custom decals and the unique clear modular display stand. Dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models. This kit has never been started. This is a 2006 reissue of the original 1961 kit. The model is 20 inches long, full hull and well detailed. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Oriana was a very famous P&O Orient Liner. In December 1962, in fog off San Diego, Oriana collided with CV-33 USS Kearsarge, causing considerable damage to both vessels. A claims court found Oriana's captain had been steaming too fast for conditions. Afterwards, the CV was good-naturedly nicknamed "The Mighty Kay-runch."

Rare, very large 1/100 scale model that was possibly produced by Arianespace as a promotional item. The model is completely injection molded and highly detailed. It includes full instructions and complete decals as well as a display stand. The rocket is molded in ivory, white and off-white, while the stand is molded in black. Everything is still factory sealed (parts, instructions & decals) and the original shipping box (of French manufacture) is present and in 'excellent++' condition.

Still factory sealed but the seal has splits. Very nicely detailed, large 1/8 scale model features nine cylinders, crankcase, carburetor with sliding valve, accessory drive gears, oil pump, magneto, full wiring and display stand. The 80 hp Le Rhone was developed before WWI and was used in many early aircraft. It did see service early in the Great War and it's follow on, the 110 hp Le Rhone was used in larger aircraft. The crankshaft of the Le Rhone mounted directly to the firewall and was part of the air and fuel intake system. The crankcase, propeller shaft and cylinders all revolved at about 1200 rpm. These three assemblies were carefully balanced to reduce vibration.
