1963 hardbox issue of the rare 'Whip Fly' series. the artwork for this series was 'action' photos by Tom Kelly. Whip-Fly kits feature the 1950s 'S' issue aircraft model with nose ballast, a metal control ring, 12 feet of control line and a control handle. Never started and the parts and all paperwork are still in the internal factory sealed bags. Literally all of the contents are factory sealed. The short-lived Whip-Fly series seemed like a good idea...at first. It was quickly discontinued when Revell discovered that heavily weighted models with sharply pointed noses traveling at 50 or 60 MPH might not be safe.

Since Frog stood for 'Flies Right Off the Ground' and Frog had a famous line of flying models, the world's first all injection molded kits were called Frog Penguin for the bird that does not fly. The Penguin Osprey was among the early pre-war releases by Frog. The kit is reproduced from actual Frog Penguin kits belonging to the extensive collection of the owner of Merlin Models. Only 2000 copies were made and each is serial numbered.

Incredibly rare. This is among the earliest of the Aurora gift sets; please note the 1954/55 logo at the lower right and 'Famous Fighters Of The Sea' slogan. Inside are the three kits - Viking Ship, Black Falcon Pirate Ship and Chinese Junk. They are still in the original factory sealed bags. The paperwork is still factory sealed as well. It also includes the very rare set of Aurora 'Speed-Dry' Enamel paints which is still factory sealed. Please NOTE that the paint brush and glue are missing. Otherwise complete with all kits and paint still factory sealed. The box displays well but is graded 'good-' because edge wear, closed split corners, scuffs and general litho damage (mainly on top long side panel at the very bottom). I have correctly repaired the split corners from the inside with thin cardstock and book binding glue.

This box contains a set of 33" long floats that are completely assembled and ready to mount (not a kit). They will attach to any conventional landing gear or you can assembly your own strut assembly to attach them to. These floats work equally well in water or snow and can be attached and removed in less than 3 minutes; includes mounting bolts and spreader bars. Made from a very lightweight (and hollow) plastic, they are strong & durable and will not puncture in a ground landing. The plastic is paintable. The kit has never been started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the larger parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete and includes all paperwork. NOTE: this kit came in a very sturdy and thick cardboard box. It will ship in that box wrapped in thick brown paper.
