The B-29 raids on the Japanese home islands caught the Army and Navy Air Forces unprepared. The S1A1 Denko and Ki-108 were far from successful at this role, so Kawasaki tried using the Ki-102 ground attack variant (derived from the Ki-96 and Ki-108) in a high altitude role. The aircraft were converted and saw service against B-29s at the end of the war, but only 238 were built. This is a well detailed model with many photoetched details. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Includes two factory-sealed and very large sets of aftermarket Bird of Time Decals for the top of one wing and the bottom of the other. This famous design and superb flier was re-engineered in this issue for lighter weight and easier building. It features a 3-meter split wing for easy transportation, unique airfoil that produces lift almost out to the tips, full moving stabilator with internal control linkage, all balsa structure with fully sheeted leading edge, die-cut balsa and plywood parts, many factory-cut balsa parts, wood stock as required, excellent full-size plans and more. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. It is never started and the parts that were factory sealed are still in the clear sealed bags. The larger parts were never sealed and are inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork. NOTE: this kit came from the factory in a very heavy and sturdy cardboard box. Unless you specify otherwise, this kit will be wrapped in heavy brown paper and shipped exactly like that (without an external box). Rare and still factory sealed. This AHM release is from the original Crown molds that would make it 1/50 scale; Burn guide lists the mold origins as unknown and lists it as 1/48. Crown made a very good line of motorized tanks and AHM reissued many of them. Associated Hobby Manufactures was an American company that did not cut it's own molds but sourced model kits from around the world through the 1960s and probably into the 1970s as well.

Very rare one and only issue from 1960 and a fine kit for that time. Features detailed engine & engine compartment, opening hood, very good chassis with front and rear suspension, differential and driveline, complete interior, clear windows, working tailgat, custom tonneau cover, bedside chrome rails and many more custom parts. Molded in a beautiful aqua blue and chrome plate. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals and instructions are in amazing 'near mint' condition with light yellowing as the only noticeable flaw. NOTE: the chrome parts were put in the vacuum metalizing chamber at an angle, which has resulted in only 'fair' condition chrome plating. Fortunately, there are re-plating services available or you can use BareMetal Foil.

Hard-to-find first issue in the 1968-dated hardbox. This kit was issued in conjunction with the TV series 'The Invaders' and represents the spaceship on the series. The box has like-new color and gloss, solid corners and no tape, price tags or litho tears. A slight bit of wear on the right short side and a very slight (and hard-to-see) crease at the lower right are the only flaw worth noting. The kit features retractable landing legs, detailed interior with four figures, removable top and optional clear top. Inside, the kit is mint. The parts are the original gloss medium gray. The model has never been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts and instructions. There are several differences between this first edition and the second release. The first one has the original box artwork, the clear top and gray 'lights' for the bottom. There is no stand in this issue. The second issue does not have a clear top, has red-tinted clear 'lights' for the underside, a display stand and 6 additional aliens for the ground base.

This large model is 12 inches long when assembled and includes detachable cargo hold. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The box displays better than the 'very good+++' grade but is rated as such because there is a scuff on the left short side.
