Rare. Beautiful resin kit with all fine recessed panel lines, full interior, standard or optional pitch prop blades and full decals. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Bell FXL-1 Airabonita was one of three new spec Navy prototype fighters. It competed with the Grumman XF5F-1 and the Vought XF4U-1 Corsair. The Bell offering was made from an Army XP-39 fighter. There were engine and undercarriage problems during trials, as well as handling issues. Bell modified the aircraft (that is another Planet Models issue whichy is called "late modification") in many ways, but it was still no match for the Corsair, which won the competition.

Features pre-carved hardwood hull which needs very little final sanding to complete, three sheets of printed hardwood, tapered and non-tapered mast and yard stock as required, a bag of metal and wood fittings, running and standing rigging material, full color decals (with flags), pre-carved hardwood display base, turned pedestals, mounting screws, metal name plate, ship history and instructions sheet and full size plans with detail drawings. Rare. Before there were Batmobile kits, there was the Skyhook Models Batmobile Conversion Kit, which could make Batman's Custom Crime Fighter from the Revell Lincoln Futura. The Futura was the original car that George Barris modified to became the star of the famous TV show. The conversion parts are made from high definition resin and includes full instructions. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes all paperwork. Since this is the conversion parts only, the ideal base kit is the 1995 reissue of the famous Futura 'S' kit. Ford created the Lincoln Futura as a concept car to promote Lincoln. The designers were Ford lead stylists John Jajjar and Bill Schmidt. Unlike many concept cars, this one was fully operational. The basis of the chassis was the Continental Mark II and she was powered by a 368 cubic inch Lincoln engine and powertrain. The car was hand built by Ghia in Italy and originally cost $250,000, or about $2.3 million in modern USD. The car was a big success for Ford and brought significant recognition in toys, movies and the show circuit. It was first displayed in 1955. When Ford was done, they sold the car to George Barris for $1. Because it was never titled and could not insured, Barris parked it behind the shop. However, in 1966 Barris was asked to make a car for the Batman TV series. Dean Jefferies was originally contracted with, but he could not make the car in time. Barris thought the Futura would make a fine basis for the Batmobile, and so it did. Barris always retained ownership of the car, leasing it to the studio for filming. In 2013 he sold the car to a collector for 4.62 Million US Dollars.

Scale Flight Model Company in Bloomington, Indiana, USA was dedicated to releasing authentic reproductions of the finest "Dime Scale" and larger flying model (stick and tissue) kits from the 1930s/40s.
