Rare first issue of this kit dated 1960. Large and highly detailed, measuring 36 inches long when built. This kit is the standard that other large-scale plastic sailing ships models are measured by. Since this is the first issue, the model has the factory painted copper hull below the waterline. The model features highly detailed deck, deck houses, cargo holds and removable covers, masts, yards and booms, bilge pump, windlass, 20 crew figure, lifeboats with oars, life preservers, anchors and anchor chains. With draftline and transom decals, figurehead, finely detailed hull, preformed ratlines and molded deadeyes, pin rails and blocks, full standing rigging instructions and diagrams and thread & chain for rigging. Molded in three colors - black, ivory/white and dark swirl wood tan. Inside, there has never been any assembly but NOTE: the bulwarks and outer raised white hull trim have been airbrushed white on both hull halves. While the work is neat (very good+ to excellent), there is white overspray on the factory copper paint. There is no other painting. The parts have been inventoried 100% complete and includes decals, color flag sheet, standing and running rigging line, chain and all assembly and rigging instructions. NOTE: the part numbers are off from the instruction book; I believe that the parts are from a later issue. I have also included a set of copied instructions that lines up perfectly with all of the part numbers on the trees.

Revell USS Ward DD139 - Four Stack Destroyer, 1/240, 5023

From 1987 and well detailed, measuring 15.75 inches long when assembled. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The USS Ward was a Wickes-class 1247-ton destroyer launched in 1918 . After serving as a station ship during the first trans-Atlantic flights of NC-1, NC-3 and NC-4 in 1919, she came back to the Pacific and was decommissioned there in July 1921. In 1920 the ship received the hull number DD-139. On the morning of December 7, 1941, the Ward was on patrol just outside Pearl Harbor. She spotted and sank Japanese Midget Submarine and fired the first US shots of WWII. The Ward saw extensive activity through the war as a transport in most of the major battle areas of the Pacific as a fast transport. During the Leyte operations she took a Kamikaze hit amidship and the crew had to abandon her. The destroyer USS O'Brien had to sink the Ward with gunfire. The Commanding Officer of the O'Brien was William W. Outerbridge, who had been in command of Ward off Pearl Harbor on that fateful day. The date that she was sunk was December 7th, 1944, three years to the day of her opening shots.

First issue from 1960 with great hardbox artwork. This model features variable sweep wings, retracting landing gear, detailed jet engine, movable control surfaces and more. Molded in white and clear and includes the famous Revell 'Globe' clear swivel base. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The X-5 was the first aircraft to change the angle of wing sweepback in flight, and paved the way for the legendary F-111 and F-14.

1996 reissue of the classic 1958 kit. Missile can be disassembled put into individual crates on the trailer. Trailer unhitches from cab and all 18 wheels rotate. The trailer has a detailed underside and the truck features an opening hood with detailed engine and cab interior. Crew of 2 included. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Special item included in this issue are two large, colorful trading cards (B-36 and F-105) and the full color Master Modelers Stamp for the Decatur. Large and detailed full-hull model is almost 16 inches long and features rotating main 5 inch turrets, AA guns, detailed superstructure, life rafts, torpedo tubes, display stand and more. It has never been started and is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals, flag sheet and instructions.

NOTE: Box displays better than the 'VG++' grade, but was graded as such due to a very light 'Highland Hobby Shop' stamp on the box top.

First and only issue of this rare, large-scale kit. The hardbox is dated 1978 and has incredible artwork and the 'S' Cement logo on the sides. Large scale and well detailed featuring removable missile with moving top stage forward fins, complete working launcher and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the box is intact with great color and gloss & four solid corners but it has excessive wear and creasing as shown in the photo, hence the rating of only 'fair+.'
Revell Medicine Wagon - Miniature Masterpiece, 1/48, H521-98

Rare 1955 issue. The box has excellent color and gloss, four solid corners and no fading, tears or price tags. The flaws are very light wear and very light age spotting. This excellent model; like all of the Miniature Masterpieces, it is a perfect example of the best early Mold-Makers art. Features medicine wagon with detailed suspension and open rear platform, colorful decals for Doctor Brown's Snake Oil, two horses, Dr. Brown, entertainer, an Indian, local man and a local woman with her young boy and girl. NOTE: this kit has minor and very neat 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: front axle assembly; rear axle assembly; horse halves. There is no other assembly and zero painting. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glaser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also.

Second issue dated 1954 with hardbox Pre-S artwork of 'Buffalo Bill' by Richard Kishady. Molded in the correct high-gloss medium olive drab and clear plastic and includes the famous clear Revell Swivel Display Stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box displays better than the 'very good++' grade but is rated as such because there is a very light stain just above 'Easy-To-Build' at the very top. it extends down about 1/2" onto the adjacent box side also.

Rare original hardbox issue from 1958. This kit builds a custom Montclair with numerous options. Features the Mercury model with a detailed engine, removable hood, detailed engine compartment, full interior, separately molded suspension and molded in underside detail. It is molded in a dramatic glossy deep purple plastic and chrome plate. The accessories include wild custom decals, custom grille, 2 fender fins, wheel disc bullets, filler plugs, 2 piece club pin, custom decals with flames or pencil lines and white stripes, white wall decals, rear view mirrors, antennas, spotlights, continental kit, hood scoop, top rear scoop, two side stacks and more The kit has never been started. Still factory sealed but the seal has splits. This 1985 Revell of Germany issue uses the same molds as the original 1969 issue. It is a very nice model of the German Navy's 'Lucky Ship' with an amazing history. The kit can be built waterline or full hull and features movable turrets, full primary and secondary armament, ships boats, Ar-196 floatplane and more.

NOTE: the smaller parts are a different shade of green color; they are from a later issue of the same kit. The decals are from the "S" issue which means they also have the round stand decal.

The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Please note, the earlier issue was listed as 1/300 scale, Revell has listed this one as 1/285. I do not know which scale is correct.
