Very Rare 1960 hardbox issue with excellent John Steel box art. Measures over 20 inches long when built and is well detailed with movable elevator, cranes, deck tractors, full AA guns & directors and more. Includes an air wing of A-4 Skyhawks, AD-6 Skyraiders, F8U Crusaders, F11F Tigers and Helicopter). Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals and instructions are both in 'Excellent++' condition with very light yellowing being the only flaw. Please note the very light stain along the right side as shown

Dated 1975. One of Revell's finest early ships. It is from the original 'S' kits molds, which are a tribute to the research and skill of the mold maker. Beautiful full-hull model features finely engraved planking and plate detail, rotating main turrets and elevating guns, full secondary armament of 5", 1.1" and ten 5" casemate guns, complete deck fittings with searchlights, motor launches and whaleboats, range finders, ladders, cranes, masts and observations nests, two catapults with Vought O2U Biplanes, display stand and flags and decals for the ship and float planes. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, flags and instructions. Still factory sealed. Rare 1984 issue that comes with USNOO decals for Project Magnet as well as ASW Patrol Squadron VP-64. After the failure of the civil Lockheed Electra, Revell had to remove the molds from the market. Lockheed solved the problems with the Electra, but it was too late for the air lines. However, relief came to Lockheed in the form of numerous US Navy and international orders for a military Electra variant, the superb P-3 Anti-Submarine aircraft. And so relief came to Revell in the same way. They heavily modified the Electra molds to make the P-3 and this was a best seller for decades; and the P-3 was probably the most successful and long-lived of all US Navy ASW airborne platforms. Revell US Army Tactical Missiles Little John and Dart With Launchers - 'S' Issue, 1/40, H1812-98

First and only issue from 1958 with 'S' box art. Little John was a light-weight free-flight rocket that was highly mobile. It could be pulled on it's launcher or transported by helicopter. Length was 12 feet long and the warhead was atomic. The Dart was a very early wire guided anti-tank missile with a solid propellant rocket motor. An optical rangefinder was used for guidance. It was 5 feet in length. The models these are well detailed. The Dart includes four missiles, one launcher, three stands, decals, one optical guidance unit and a crew of three. The Little John includes a detailed launcher with elevating rails, movable support legs, decals and crew of three. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

1987 reissue of the original 1967 kit. Very nicely done kit. Features 20 SBDs, 20" long hull, movable cranes and optional position elevators. The box art shows the wartime finish, but the kit contains decals for this or the prewar high-vis finish. The kit has never been started. Inside it is still factory bag sealed and includes decals and instructions. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and underwent temporary repairs in record time so she could take part in the Battle of Midway. Damaged by bombs and eventually a spread of submarine-fired 'Long Lance' torpedoes, she was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship.
