Dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models.

1983 Golden Wings issue from high quality Airfix molds. Features interior detail, crew members, optional position canopies, rotating wheels and propeller, optional bomb or torpedo configurations and folded or unfolded wings. Decals are for the colorful pre-war 'Yellow Wing" aircraft from VT-5, USS Yorktown. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box display better than the 'very good' ranking but it rated as such because the golden tokens have been neatly cut from the lower side panel.

In the 1970s, MPC released the very popular Profile Series. Inside each box was a quality Airfix kit but with MPC decals to build any of the aircraft shown on the box top. In this case there are decals for four aircraft. This is a well detailed model that features a great deal of interior and all crew stations, opening bomb bay doors, full bomb bay detail, complete weapons load, moving ailerons, elevators & rudder, optional position landing gear and more. 1983 issue tied into the release of this famous movie. The model is 7 inches long when built and features rotating cockpit with pilot, folding cross wings and excellent surface detail. The box displays better than the 'very good++' rating but is graded as such because there are two short pieces of masking tape on the box - one each on the long upper and lower sides. Easily removed if soak them in lighter fluid first.
