1992 issue of this well molded and detailed kit of the legendary Pan Am Flying Boat; from ex-Strombecker molds. These flying boats established routes to China in the late 1930s. Those who could afford to fly them did so in luxury that is unheard of in air travel today. Never started. The parts are either still in the factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete. Includes decals and instructions.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed Exc+
$55
Still factory sealed. Dated 1992 and has decals for all three versions. Molded in clear so you can build the kit with realistic windows. This is an ex-O-Lin, ex-Lindberg kit. Those two 1950s original issues did not have clear windows as they were molded in one solid plastic color, so this clear reissue makes a great builder.

Still factory sealed. From early 1960s ex-ITC Ideal molds. This is a fine and detailed kit of the famous aircraft that Billy Mitchell used to sink the 'unsinkable' German Battleship Ostfriesland on July 22, 1921. The ship was defenseless during the attack, but it was the first time that an aircraft had sunk a capital ship. Decals are included for the three aircraft listed here: 96th Bombardment Squadron, 11th Bombardment Squadron and the 14th Bombardment Squadron during their historic sinking of the German Battleship 'Ostfriesland.'
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG

From ex-ITC molds dating from about 1959/1960. Stirring Jack Leynnwood box art shows the ship at Santiago de Cuba in 1898 with the 13" guns blazing at the Spanish fleet. This is a large-scale, older kit that was well detailed for that time. Includes decals for all three early battleships. I highly recommend the superb Gold Medal Models USS Oregon Brass PE Set for this model (not included). The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The larger parts that were never factory sealed (hull and boat tree only) have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.
