Excellent small scale kit featuring all very fine recessed panel lines, full interior with seating for six, instrument panel and dual yokes, full landing gear, display stand and very colorful, full decals (with all fuselage stripes) for the box art aircraft. NOTE: this kit has minor and neat assembly as follows: wing halves and the two rear-most side windows. There is no other assembly. Inventoried and the actual aircraft is complete with all parts but NOTE: missing display stand. Includes 'mint' condition decals and 'excellent+' instructions.

This kit was likely sold on the ship in one of the deluxe stores, as it appears to have been made as a promotional kit for the Ferry Line - see the "Blue Highway Line" logo at the lower right and the long box sides have full color photos of the very luxurious accommodations on board, shopping and also a route map. I have seen the Sunflower Ferry ships in two scale - 1/500 and 1/700 (this kit). They have appeared in motorized and non-motorized versions. There is one ship with two funnels (this one) and a single funnel Ferry of roughly the same size and tonnage. This is a very well detailed and molded model that features a one-piece hull, all hardware for motorizing, propeller shaft stuffing box, adjustable rudder, scale propellers and rudders for display, detailed superstructure and deck fittings, optional position rear automobile ramp, removable main superstructure to gain access to a battery holder and the motor, display base, name plate and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the standard FA-130 motor was not furnished with this kit and had to be purchased separately. This kit is likely from the original Nakamra Sangyo molds but I cannot be certain. It is worth noting that the famous Sunflower Ferry still operates today; the new ships are even more luxurious and better appointed. It is a very relaxing way to travel from one island to another.

The kit inside is often attributed to Airfix and it may be; however, I am suspicious of this as it is a bit cruder in mold quality, so it may simply be a copy of the Airfix kit. Never started. Very rare; not even listed in John Burn's guide. Small scale kit that measures about 6.6 inches long when assembled. The kit is basic, featuring only 10 plastic parts. It is also designed for motorized operation, and comes with a big slow-rpm prop, rubber motor and torpedo-shaped weight holder and weight that hang from the bottom when you wish to operate it. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. The instructions are on the bottom of the box top.
