1987 reissue from the original 1967 molds. It is a fine kit for that time featuring a 20" long hull, detailed superstructure 'island', movable cranes, optional position elevators, 20 SBDs and all of the correct parts to differentiate Yorktown from her sisters Enterprise and Hornet. The box art shows the wartime finish, but the kit contains decals for this or the prewar high-vis finish. There is currently no assembly but NOTE: front anchor deck has very light glue on the back but was never assembled to the hull. Also, the anchor chain on it is neatly painted. The two deck supports were very lightly glued on, but so little glue was used that the supports fell out. There is no other work done to the kit. It has been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: one propeller blade is broken from one of the Yorktown's propellers. That blade is missing. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and underwent temporary repairs in record time so she could take part in the Battle of Midway. Damaged by bombs and eventually a spread of submarine-fired 'Long Lance' torpedoes, she was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship.

Still factory sealed and from 1992. The DO-X was a famous German Flying Boat built in 1929. Dornier dreamed that this huge aircraft would become a trans-oceanic airliner with passengers traveling in ocean liner-like luxury. A tour of South and North American was conducted, but orders never materialized due to excessive fuel consumption and a lack of power. Total load was 170 passengers and crew, and the 12 engines developed 7200 HP. This is a very well detailed model and more than likely from the high-quality Otaki molds..
