Estes Apollo Saturn V Flying Scale Model, 1/100, K-36

Multimedia Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed NM++

$225

Still factory sealed and very rare in an amazing, investment grade 'Sealed Near Mint++' box. This is the finest K-36 issue that I have seen and it came from the stock of a long-closed hobby shop. It was never put out for sale and never saw the light of day until now. The seal is 100% intact with no splits. The colors are perfect and factory fresh. The box top has no fading or dents. All four corners are crisp and as they left the factory. There has never been any tape, stickers or price tags on this box. The box top has one very light and short (1 inch) crease at the lower right corner; however, it is so indistinguishable that it did not show up in the photo. The box bottom does have one minor crease that looks like it happened at the factory. This is the Saturn V that is 43.25 inches high and 3.93 inches in diameter. Recommended engine is the D12-3 or three C6-3; includes Technical Report TR-6 on Engine Clustering. Please NOTE that this kit must be shipped along (with no other kits that could damage it) and in a double box to preserve the condition.

Very Rare. From the Strombecker science fiction series released with Disney's famous landmark 'Man in Space' movie series. This is an accurate scale kit of the RM-1 Moon Rocket from the motion picture. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals have a slight curl but otherwise are in amazing 'near mint' condition. The instructions are 'near mint' as well. The box is graded 'excellent' with like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no price tags, no stains & no fading. It displays better than 'excellent' but is rated as such because there is a light crease at the top center and clear tape residue on the long sides. Monogram Curtiss P-36A - Blue Box Issue, 1/72, PA145-70

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$28

First Issue from 1967. Very finely molded with excellent detail and traditional Monogram quality. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Hawk P-36A has the dubious distinction of fighting on both sides and for more countries than any other plane in history during the opening years of WWII. This Hawk, one in a long progression of famous fighter aircraft, was the winner of a 1935 competition. The USAA Corps received the first aircraft in April of 1938 and the French ordered 100 aircraft in May of the same year. French Hawks shot down just over 30 German planes during the battle for France. The Germans captured the aircraft and sold them to Finland. Others were captured when the Germans overran Norway. In all over 800 Hawks were produced and served in China, Netherlands East Indies, Portugal, Great Britain, Thailand, Argentina and Peru. Although an excellent fighter in 1935, the Hawk was outclassed by the time the war started but when flown properly still gave a good account of itself.

The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.
