This model is from 1957 and has classic Jo Kotula artwork. This is the first issue; please note the 69 cent price extension, 'Famous Fighters' logo border, 69 cent 'price circle' at the middle right of the box top and no Parents' Magazine Seal. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so these kits were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s. Even when Aurora closed their doors in 1976, many of these kits were still in production till the very end.

Molded in gloss medium gray and clear, with full landing gear and a triangle-based two-piece display stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. It even includes the original factory packing tissue paper.

Excellent condition box and kit dated 1960, but from a later date than that due to the logo variation. Molded in a brilliant gloss deep blue and clear with the clear triangle 'World' stand. These molds are from one of Aurora's first two kits - the F9F and F-90. Aurora simply went out and purchased the early Hawk F9F and F-90 kits and copied them almost exactly. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Instructions and decals are both in 'excellent+' condition. Please note that the box would grade better but it is not because there is tape residue on the two long box sides.

A Very Rare piece for the advanced Aurora Collector. This is a 1959 hardbox issue from Aurora's Great Britain distributor, Playcraft Toys Ltd. of London. Please note the sunburst logo with 'Playcraft Hobby Kits' in the border. The box is in exceptional condition with like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no creases, fading stains, tears, price tags or missing litho. The only flaws are very light general wear (mainly at the edges) and discoloration from clear tape on both long sides. Inside, the kit is factory new. It has never been started. The parts are molded in bright yellow and clear and it even has the correct Playcraft Stand (which used the modified molds of Aurora's 1954/1955 clear rectangle-based stand. I has been inventoried and is 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'Near Mint++' condition and the instructions are 'Near Mint.'

1972 issue of what is probably Aurora's most complicated figure/creature kit. The Witch comes complete with accessories and everything needed to build a complete diorama - just add a backdrop. It literally comes with everything on the box top and more. This version has all of the pieces in standard plastic but then also has another tree of optional glow-in-the- dark parts. Beautiful box art shows a colorful pre-war 'Yellow Wing' PBY rescuing a downed pilot. This kit is dated 1962 but this is release is from about 1964 due to not having 'Famous Fighters' in the logo. The box is in excellent condition with as new color and gloss, four solid corners and no sign of price tags or tape. There is very light wear as shown and slight sun fading on the left short side. The model features retracting pontoons, nose and main landing gear (this is the amphibious version), clear cockpit windshield, turret, side windows and rear blisters and rotating propellers. This version has the desirable large clear two-piece 'World Map' stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora UFO from 'The Invaders' TV Series, 1/72, 813-150

Hard-to-find first issue in the 1968-dated hardbox. This kit was issued in conjunction with the TV series 'The Invaders' and represents the spaceship on the series. The box has like-new color and gloss, solid corners and no tape, price tags or litho tears. A slight bit of wear on the right short side and a very slight (and hard-to-see) crease at the lower right are the only flaw worth noting. The kit features retractable landing legs, detailed interior with four figures, removable top and optional clear top. Inside, the kit is mint. The parts are the original gloss medium gray. The model has never been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts and instructions. There are several differences between this first edition and the second release. The first one has the original box artwork, the clear top and gray 'lights' for the bottom. There is no stand in this issue. The second issue does not have a clear top, has red-tinted clear 'lights' for the underside, a display stand and 6 additional aliens for the ground base.

Hardbox issue dated 1957, but from the mid 1960s due to the oval logo with the blue outline. Small scale kit with dramatic Jo Kotula box artwork is nicely molded with clear canopy, full landing gear and display stand. This is a model of the very early YF-102 prototype with the straight (non-area rule) fuselage. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Around this time, Aurora issued a series of inexpensive (usually 29 cent) small scale kits that were designed to sell at almost any type of retail location. The line was successful and further expanded - when Aurora purchased the Comet molds, they fit in nicely with this established line.

Mid 1950s 'Aurora Line' logo issue with pre-1956 logo on the sides and 'Famous Fighters Of All Nations' on the box top. Inside the kit is 100% correct for an early issue. It is molded in gloss silver with a green-tinted clear canopy and clear stand arm and clear 'rectangle' stand base. The instructions show the same early logo and rectangular stand as well. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present.
