This amazing car created a sensation at the Indy 500 in 1967. Powered by an aircraft Turbine Engine, it completely overwhelmed all competitive cars that used piston engines. All spectators believed it was a sure winner as it completely dominated the field. The STP Turbine led the entire race with ease, but with the checkered flag and victory only three laps away, the engine suddenly stopped and the car slid silently to a stop...defeated by an bearing in the gearbox. Large and very highly detailed kit. Includes chrome plated, black, red and clear plastic parts with metal parts and rubber tires. Features RE-14 motor and metal gearbox. Full chassis detail with operating U joints, operating independant suspension and working steering. Never started. All parts still factory sealed.
