1/72 1-4003 MPC Douglas Dauntless SBD - Ensign Leppla Coral Sea Ace

1982 Golden Wings MPC issue from quality Airfix molds. This kit includes markings for Ensign J.A. Leppla. He and his gunner shot down 7 aircraft from their SBD in two days in May 1942 during the Battle of the Coral Sea. This is a well molded model for that time and features all recessed detail, parts and decals to make -3 or -5 versions, good interior with crew, optional position canopy, pivoting rear gun, working arresting hood and center line & wing bomb loads. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
