This board game is in brand new, unpunched condition. The contents are complete and never used. Carrier War was first issued in 1987 and is a complete simulation of military operations in the Pacific Theater from December 7, 1941 to April 1944. Players have supreme command of the land, air and naval forces of either Japan or the Allies. The scale of the game is strategic with operational overtones. This game has three levels of play so you can select the degree of complexity. Land, naval and air operations are simulated in an easy-to-learn and playable manner and the game is rated in the center of the 'Complexity Grade' for wargames. The game is designed for two players but can be played in teams or even solitaire. It includes task forces, naval and air missions, interception, air/naval/land combat, submarines, amphibious operations, engineer operations, aircraft upgrades, industrial capacity, US bomber in China, intelligence, airbases & ports, searches, night ops, surprise, naval unit damage/repair, fortifications, strategic bombing and Allied or Japanese surrender.
