Aurora 1/19 Curtis P-40 Giant Screwdriver Kit, 378 plastic model kit

1/19 378 Aurora Curtis P-40 Giant Screwdriver Kit

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

1972 'Big A' logo issue of this rare kit. The P-40 and several other aircraft were originally designed for a gas motor U-Control, but Aurora decided to discontinue gas powered models after a short release time because of service issues and return volume. In order to further utilize the expensive molds, Aurora released the entire line as static 'Giant Size Models' with screwdriver assembly - known today as 'Aurora Screwdriver Kits.' This is that version. Very large kit molded in olive drab, black, light gray and clear with metal hardware. The kit has never been assembled but NOTE: there are about 20 'bullet holes' neatly melted into the top wing and about 5 in the fuselage halves. It is a good simulation of the box art. The parts have been inventoried and NOTE: missing (1) of (2) cylindrical gear struts covers that slips over the metal gear strut. Includes all other parts, decals and instructions. The decal sheet is amazing 'near mint' condition.
