1/48 4855 Collect-Aire XF8U-3 Crusader III

Very, very rare, out of production limited edition model and the only Crusader III in 1/48 scale. The Mach 2.4+ XF8U-3 routinely defeated it's rival, the F4 Phantom, in dogfights. This happened not only during the Navy flyoff competition, but far beyond that when the NASA XF8U-1s would intercept Phantoms just for fun and to show them who was boss. Complaints by the Navy put an end to these intercepts. Features high quality resin and metal parts with a detailed cockpit, very fine recessed surface detail, full color decals and more. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.
