1964 issue of this classic kit that features beautiful John Steel boxart. Large and highly detailed. This is an early version of the kit with the finely detailed hull factory painted copper below the waterline. The copper paint is in fantastic 'near mint' condition with only the slightest wear. Measures 36 inches long and 22 inches high when assembled. Features highly detailed deck, fittings, deck houses, cargo holds and covers, masts, yards and booms, bilge pump, windlass, 20 crew figure, lifeboats with oars, life preservers, anchors, metal anchor chains, figurehead, preformed ratlines, molded deadeyes, pin rails and blocks, full standing and running rigging instructions and diagrams, 35 pre-formed vac billowing sails, standing and running rigging material and more. Includes draftline and transom decals and a full color paper flag sheet. Molded in three colors. The model has never been started. Other than the hull, all the parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The chain and rigging material is also in a factory sealed bag. With fully illustrated instructions and detailed rigging diagrams. Even the excellent historical booklet is present, entitled "The Cutty Sark And The Days Of Sail." The vacuform sails are in 'average' to 'above average' condition.
