1/87 2-8054 MPC Tank Battle At El Alamein Historama - Diorama - (HO Scale)

Very rare and from the 1970s. Encouraged by the success of the first and much smaller 'Historama' series, MPC decided to release the much larger 'Super Historama' series. MPC combined multiple Airfix kits and Airfix HO figures with a giant 18" x 12" vacuform battle terrain base and special instructions (with a huge fold-out map and battle history) to create their ultimate Diorama sets. This one includes five tank kits - Matilda, Crusader, German 75mm Assault Gun, two Panzer IV tanks as well as over 35 Afrika Corps troops. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Please note that while MPC advertised on the box top that these kits were 1/72 scale, they never were; MPC used the Airfix 1/87 scale armor kits. The other 'Super Historama' kits included Breakout From Normandy, The Guns of Normandy, Commandos Strike at Dawn and this kit, Tank Battle at El Alamein.
