Very rare model of this famous Polish destroyer which was very active in WWII, seeing action in many well-known campaigns. This is the only model ever made of the Burza in this scale. Features beautiful high definition resin cast parts and even includes decals. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. ORP Burza was a Polish destroyer that served during the interwar, World War II and the post-war periods. Her keel was laid in November 1927 and the launch in April 1929; entry into service in the Polish Navy took place in 1932. The length of the ship was 107 meters and a width of 10.2 meters. The displacement reached about 2,000 tons and the maximum speed was 30 knots. The armament - at the time of launching - included (4) 130mm (5.1") guns, (2) 40mm anti-aircraft guns and (6) 53 mm torpedo tubes. ORP Burza was one of two Polish destroyers belonging to the Wicher class, which in turn was based of the plans of the French Bourrasque DD class. Although not a state-of-the-art ship, Burza undoubtedly constituted a new quality in the Polish Navy. While events would prove her to be a very capable warship, she was not without some drawbacks. First, she was relatively slow for a DD; second, there were some problems with stability and a relatively short range. The later disadvantage became more serious in the course of later service. ORP Burza was built at the Chantiers Naval Francais shipyard in Blainville-sur-Orne, France. In the interwar period, she paid numerous courtesy visits representing the Polish flag. On the eve of the outbreak of World War II, she went to Great Britain as previously planned and as part of the Polish Armed Forces in the West continued the fight, writing a glorious page in the history of the Polish Navy. The unit took part in the 1940 Norwegian campaign and in Operation Dynamo, i.e. the evacuation of the Allied forces from Dunkirk at the turn of May and June 1940. Later, she served primarily in the Atlantic, serving as an escort for Allied convoys. In 1942, Burza underwent a thorough modernization. In 1944 she was transferred to the reserve and acted as a training ship. She returned to Poland in 1951 and remained in active service until 1960. In the period 1960-1975, she served as a museum ship, and in 1977 it was scrapped. (description from super-hobby.com)

Very, very rare and the only 1/700 model ever of this subject. Features beautiful high definition resin cast parts, numerous photoetched brass details and even decals. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. This ship had an amazing and successful history under two flags. First was her Regia Marina service. Ordered under the 1938 naval program, Scipione Africano was the tenth member of her class, laid down at the Odero-Terni-Orland shipyard in Livorno on 28 September 1939. She was active through all of WWII and did see successful combat. For the Armistice of Cassibile, On 29 September 1943, Scipione Africano departed Brindisi for Malta, carrying aboard her Marshal Badoglio, the effective head of government. Arriving at Valletta the same day, Badoglio signed the terms of the 'long armistice' aboard the British battleship Nelson, which confirmed the Italian surrender and made official its entry into the war on the side of the Allies as a co-belligerent power. From that point on she was very active on the Allied side, sailing over 156 additional missions for over 56,000 nautical miles. After WWII was over, she was given to France for war reparations and renamed S.7. S.7 was commissioned into the French Marine Nationale as the light cruiser Guichen and was assigned to the 2nd Light Cruiser Division on 7 September. She took part in operations to transport the French gold reserves back to France in 1949 and in March 1951 was re-classified as a ‘destroyer-escorteur de 1st classe' (1st class destroyer escort). On 14 July 1951 Guichen began a massive reconstruction at the La Seyne dockyard intended to modernize her and better integrate her into the French fleet, fitting her with new weaponry and sensor systems. Work completed in 1953, and she was returned to service in 1955 as an 'Escorteur d'Escadre' (Fleet Escort). This model represent that version. The refit reduced the stability of the ship, caused the maximum speed to fall to 39 kn (45 mph) and the operational range to 3,600 nmi (4,100 miles) at 18 knots. However, the sensor suite was much more complete, and the ship had a much more powerful anti-aircraft and anti-submarine warfare capability than it did before. Upon re-commissioning Guichen gained the NATO hull pennant D607, and was assigned to the 2nd Division out of Bizerte. In 1957 Guichen was refit once more, in order to make her a command ship, which removed one of her aft 10.5 cm (4.1 in) mounts and a pair of torpedo banks in exchange for better radar and command facilities, and subsequently became the flagship of the Atlantic Light Fleet. Guichen was replaced in this role by her sister Chateaurenault on 16 April 1961, and subsequently placed in reserve. She was disarmed in June 1963, and used as a floating platform for the Lanveoc Poulmic Naval School. She was struck from the French naval register on 1 June 1976, given the serial number Q554, and was finally sold for demolition in January 1982.

Nisshin (also Nissin) was a Kasuga-class armored cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy, built in the first decade of the 20th century by Gio. Ansaldo & C., Sestri Ponente, Italy, where the type was known as the Giuseppe Garibaldi class. The ship was originally ordered by the Royal Italian Navy in 1901 as San Rocco and sold the next year to the Argentine Navy who renamed her Mariano Moreno during the Argentine–Chilean naval arms race, but the lessening of tensions with Chile and financial pressures caused the Argentinians to sell her before delivery. At that time tensions between the Empire of Japan and the Russian Empire were rising, and the ship was offered to both sides before she was purchased by the Japanese.Nisshin certainly found her correct home in the Japanese Navy, serving an active & career while successfully taking part in several battles. During the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–05, Nisshin participated in the Battle of the Yellow Sea and was damaged in the subsequent Battle of Tsushima. In addition, she frequently bombarded the defenses of Port Arthur. The ship played a limited role in World War I and was used to escort Allied convoys and search for German commerce raiders in the Indian Ocean and Australasia. In 1918, Nisshin was deployed to the Mediterranean and then escorted the surrendered German submarines allocated to Japan from Britain after the war. She became a training ship in 1927 and was sunk as a target ship in 1936. Her wreck was later refloated and used as a target again in 1942.

The class was authorised in 1949 and were designed as aircraft carrier escort vessels. Three were modified to become flagships, four became anti-air guided missile destroyers and five became anti-submarine destroyers. Le Redoutable (S611) was the lead boat of her class of ballistic missile submarines in the French Navy.Commissioned on 1 December 1971, the boat was the first French SNLE (Sous-marin Nucléaire Lanceur d'Engins or Device-Launching Nuclear Submarine). The boat was initially fitted with 16 M1 MSBS (Mer-Sol Balistique Strategique) submarine-launched ballistic missiles, delivering 450 kilotons at 2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi). In 1974, the boat was refitted with the M2 missile, and later with the M20, each delivering a one-megatonne warhead at a range over 3,000 kilometres (1,900 mi). Le Redoutable ("formidable" or "fearsome" in French) was the only ship of the class not to be refitted with the M4 missile.Le Redoutable had a 20-year duty history, with 51 patrols of 70 days each, totaling an estimated 90,000 hours of diving and traveling 1.27 million km (790,000 mi) of distance, the equivalent of 32 times around the Earth. The boat was decommissioned in 1991. In 2000, the boat was removed from the water and placed in a purpose-built 136 meters (446 ft) dry dock and over two years was made into an exhibit. This was a monumental task, the biggest portion of which was removing the nuclear reactor and replacing the midsection with an empty steel tube. In 2002, the boat opened as a museum ship at the Cite de la Mer naval museum in Cherbourg-Octeville, France, being now the largest submarine open to the public and the only nearly-complete ballistic missile submarine hull open to the public — although several museums display small portions, such as sails and/or parts of rudders from such submarines. Special dinner events for organizations aboard this boat's interior spaces are offered by Cite de la Mer.

Chen Yuen (or more properly Zhenyuan) was an ironclad battleship built for the Chinese Beiyang Fleet. She was the second and final member of the Dingyuan class, which included one other vessel, Dingyuan, both of which were built in Germany in the early 1880s. Delivery of the two ironclads was delayed by the Sino-French War of 1884–1885. The ships were armed with a main battery of four 12 in (305 mm) guns in a pair of gun turrets, making them the most powerful warships in East Asian waters at the time.In the 1880s and early 1890s, the Beiyang Fleet conducted a routine of training exercises and cruises abroad, with emphasis placed on visits to Japan to intimidate the country. The latter resulted in the Nagasaki Incident in 1886 and contributed to a rise in hostility between the two countries that culminated in the First Sino-Japanese War in 1894. She saw action at the Battle of the Yalu River on 17 September, where the Japanese Combined Fleet sank much of the Beiyang Fleet, though both Zhenyuan and Dingyuan survived despite numerous hits. The survivors then retreated to Port Arthur for repairs, but after that city was threatened by the Japanese army, fled to Weihaiwei. While entering the port, Zhenyuan struck an uncharted rock and was badly damaged; she was used as a stationary artillery battery during the Battle of Weihaiwei in February 1895, but Japanese forces captured the city's fortifications, which forced the Chinese to surrender the fleet.Zhenyuan was seized as a war prize, repaired, and commissioned into the Imperial Japanese Navy as Chin Yen. She frequently toured Japan in the late 1890s and early 1900s to celebrate Japan's victory over China. Obsolescent by the time of the Russo-Japanese War, she nevertheless saw action at the Battle of the Yellow Sea in August 1904 and the Battle of Tsushima in May 1905. She also supported the invasion of Sakhalin in July 1905. After the war, Chin Yen became a training ship, serving in that role until 1911, thereafter being sold to ship breakers in 1912.

English: 'Everlasting Peace') was an ironclad battleship and the flagship of the Chinese Beiyang Fleet. She was the lead ship of the Dingyuan class, which included one other vessel, Zhenyuan, both of which were built in Germany in the early 1880s. Delivery of the two ironclads was delayed by the Sino-French War of 1884–1885. The ships were armed with a main battery of four 12 inch (305 mm) guns in a pair of gun turrets, making them the most powerful warships in East Asian waters at the time. Dingyuan served as the flagship of Admiral Ding Ruchang during her active career. In the 1880s and early 1890s, the Beiyang Fleet conducted a routine of training exercises and cruises abroad, with emphasis placed on visits to Japan to intimidate the country. The latter resulted in the Nagasaki Incident in 1886 and contributed to a rise in hostility between the two countries that culminated in the First Sino-Japanese War in 1894. She led the Chinese fleet during the Battle of the Yalu River on 17 September, where the Japanese Combined Fleet sank much of the Beiyang Fleet, though both Dingyuan and Zhenyuan survived despite numerous hits, thanks to their heavy armor. The survivors then retreated to Port Arthur for repairs, but after that city was threatened by the Japanese Army, fled to Weihaiwei. As the Japanese continued to advance, they laid siege to Weihaiwei in late January 1895. On 5 February, a Japanese torpedo boat slipped into the port and hit Dingyuan with a torpedo, inflicting serious damage. The Chinese crew were forced to beach the vessel to avoid sinking, and for the next week, Dingyuan was used as a stationary artillery battery. Japanese ground forces seized the city's coastal fortifications on 9 February, allowing their artillery to shell the ships in the harbor, which prompted Ding to surrender. Dingyuan was scuttled in the harbor on 10 February. A full-scale replica of the ship was built in Weihai in 2003 as a museum ship and in 2019, the Chinese government announced that an underwater survey had located the original vessel's wreck.
