Incredibly rare. This is among the earliest of the Aurora gift sets; please note the 1954/55 logo at the lower right and 'Famous Fighters Of The Sea' slogan. Inside are the three kits - Viking Ship, Black Falcon Pirate Ship and Chinese Junk. They are still in the original factory sealed bags. The paperwork is still factory sealed as well. It also includes the very rare set of Aurora 'Speed-Dry' Enamel paints which is still factory sealed. Please NOTE that the paint brush and glue are missing. Otherwise complete with all kits and paint still factory sealed. The box displays well but is graded 'good-' because edge wear, closed split corners, scuffs and general litho damage (mainly on top long side panel at the very bottom). I have correctly repaired the split corners from the inside with thin cardstock and book binding glue.

Large scale model in the 1967 hardbox. Very nicely molded and one of Aurora's better designed and detailed models. It is full hull, measures 11 inches long when assembled and features very nicely detailed hull planking and decoration, detailed deck and tower, individually molded oars and shields, two sails and 11 Roman Rulers, Tillers and Soldiers. Includes painting and rigging guide. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the very tip of a rear hull half is neatly broken off but is present so you can repair it. It fits back perfectly for a simple repair.

Very highly detailed and well molded resin waterline model kit. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes illustrated instructions. Slava (Russian: "Glory") was a pre-dreadnought battleship of the Imperial Russian Navy, the last of the five Borodino-class battleships. Commissioned too late to participate in the Battle of Tsushima during the Russo-Japanese War, she survived while all of her sister ships were either sunk during the battle or surrendered to the Imperial Japanese Navy. She served in the Baltic Sea during World War I and was the largest ship of the Russian Gulf of Riga Squadron that defeated the German High Seas Fleet in the Battle of the Gulf of Riga in August 1915. She repeatedly bombarded German positions and troops for the rest of 1915 and during 1916. In 1917 Slava sustained heavy damage from the German dreadnought SMS König during the Battle of Moon Sound that significantly increased her draft. The shallow channel made it impossible to escape and she was scuttled in the Moon Sound Strait between the island of Muhu (Moon) and the mainland.

NOTE: builder or parts kit only, please read carefully. Rare, Brooklyn-produced early 1950s U-Ma-Kit. This was Aurora's first naval model. Molded in the correct glossy very dark gray plastic. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing parts. Both bow dive planes and one prop are missing. NOTE: decals have been cut out and are missing (2) eyeballs and one shark's mouth. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals (separated) and instructions. NOTE: instructions are present but completely split in two down one fold seam. The box looks better than the 'poor' rating but is graded as such because there is extensive clear tape holding the top together, stains and missing litho as shown at the bottom and on the bottom long side. The tray (lower box) is present but split along most seams.

Excellent kit from the 1950s that measures 10.5 inches long when assembled. StromBecker was famous for this line of pre-carved wood kits. Made of solid Western Pine hardwood - not balsa. Very rare, very large scale museum-quality model with superb detail. Features excellent high-definition resin hull, superstructure, turrets and range finder, numerous precision cast metal fittings and a large and extensive photoetched brass detail set. Includes full, illustrated instructions. The kit has never been started. The smaller (like the turrets) resin parts, metal fittings and brass parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the larger resin pieces were never sealed and have been inventoried complete. Includes hull number decals and instructions. Please note, this kit is not for beginners; experience in building large resin ship models is highly recommended. These destroyers served early in WWII and thus had a high attrition rate; Sims was lost with the tanker Neosho in the Battle of the Coral Sea, Hammann was assisting the crippled Yorktown at Midway when I-168 torpedoed both her and Yorktown. O'Brien, Walke, Buck and Morris were casualties of war also. The rest of the class were expended in nuclear testing after the war or scrapped in 1947.
