Resin Model Kit, Box Condition: VG++
$59
This is only 1 of 2 1/700 models made of this ship. This rare waterline kit is of exceptional quality. It is pressure cast, so there are no air holes or pockets. The detail is remarkable down to the very fine decking. The entire superstructure is cast with the hull, which makes it a much better build than the Pit Road kit. the hull has greater detail than is possible with injection molded kits of this scale and the details are also resin. Because of how it is case, there is very little building to do; just the finer details need to be assembled. Includes eleven view plans (3 plus 8 detailed sections) which double as instructions. Never started. The hull is in mint condition as are the smaller parts. After studying the plans, I believe the kit to be complete. However, you will require some stock metal for antennas, masts and the bigger gun barrels. Some scratch building may be required for some finer details. This kit is so much like the Pit Road model [when I hold them side by side] that I suspect that a partially-built Pit Road hull & superstructure were used as the original master.

1962 hardbox issue with what is probably John Steel artwork. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the box displays 'Excellent++' but is graded 'Very Good+.' This hardbox issue is 1961 but is actually from the mid 1960s due to not having 'Famous Fighters' in the border of the oval logo. This model has incredible John Steel artwork and features full hull, display stand, detailed conning tower and deck, periscopes, 20mm and 37mm guns, 105mm main deck gun, bow net cutter, full diving planes and propeller detail and decal. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box displays in 'Near Mint' condition but is graded only 'Excellent' because there is some dry residue from masking tape near the center of the two long sides. The actual tape is long gone; it fell off.
