Very rare kit from 2006. This is the only model made of this subject. The SM-84 was the replacement for the SM-79. It served well as a level bomber but did best in the intended torpedo role. SM-84s gave the Royal Navy a hard time in the Med, including torpedoing the battleship HMS Nelson. This is a nicely molded, limited-run model with all main injection molded parts and resin engines fronts. Never started. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models.

In the 1970s, MPC released the popular Profile Series. These were well detailed kits for that time from Airfix molds. US Navy F-111 markings are hard to come by; fortunately, these decals are in 'near mint+' condition which is rare. The MPC decals from this era often suffer from peeling.
