The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam. The model is dated 1967 and the 3rd issue of the classic 'Four Star' kit. Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels and propellers, three man crew, optional position door and two survivors in a life rafts. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Dated 1955 and the 2nd issue of this classic model. The box is in amazing, investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. The box has factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape or tags, no marks from tape or tags, no fading, stains or litho damage. The only flaws are very light wear. Kit features rotating wheels and propellers, side gun packs and cannon/machine gun nose, crew members, underwing rockets and boarding ladder. Molded in silver and clear plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals are 'excellent+' and the instructions are 'very good+'. This is a later 2nd issue with silver plastic main gear tires (not rubber ones).

1955 issue with great box art. This was Monogram's 8th plastic aircraft kit and it exemplified the fine fit and finish that they soon became famous for. This is the 2nd release and has the black rubber tires is the second issue; the only difference from the first issue is the "PA" vs. "P" part number. Features rotating propellers, optional retracted or extended position floats, two torpedoes and four crew members. Molded in a very deep Navy Blue and clear with the black rubber tires. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box is in beautiful 'Excellent++' condition, the decals are 'near mint.' The instructions are intact but have a light stain across the top 1/3 and are only 'fair++.'

Very rare, one and only issue dated 1960. When Monogram invested in the tooling for the 18 aircraft "Air Power" set, the sales did not meet expectations. In order to increase revenue from the molds, Monogram issued three separate kits- the "Refueling Group," "Bomber Group" and "Fighter Group" in the "Forty Niner" series with the Tu-16 Badger, F-101 and P-40. These kits utilized aircraft from the Air Power set with special blue-molded display stands, unique decals and instructions. The two aircraft are well molded with recessed panel line detail. Decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition and the instructions in 'near mint+' condition. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: this kit must be shipped double-boxed for protection.

This issue comes with decals for the following aircraft: 'Dog Daze' or 'Leroy's Joy.' The kit has never been started. 2nd issue of this kit with the 'Blue Box' dated 1967. Very highly detailed. The kit has many action features: When you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Kit features a movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals, sliding canopy and instructions for rigging. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one tiny, easy to make part: (1) #6. This is a very small round part with a hole in the middle. Otherwise complete with all other parts, decals and instructions present.
