Carl Goldberg Models Gentle Lady - 2-Meter R/C Sailplane, K-60 plastic model kit

K-60 Carl Goldberg Models Gentle Lady - 2-Meter R/C Sailplane

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

From 1980. This 78.25 inch wingspan glider is legendary for high performance and still a favorite today. It is factory-new inside and has not been started. Most parts are still in the factory sealed bags; the parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork and decals. NOTE: this kit was factory packed in a rugged and sturdy box. The model will be shipped with this box only wrapped in heavy brown paper (no external box) unless you request otherwise. Extra shipping will apply for the additional box. Carl Goldberg was a gifted designer of model aircraft, and his career spanned the evolution of flying models. His designs and number of titles won in competition at the Nationals is legendary. His first competition was the 1928 Nationals, where he received honorable mention. By 1934 he won the indoor Nats and in 1935 he opened a Hobby Shop, among the first in the nation (the first one was probably opened by Cleveland Models Ed Packard). Awards came quickly. He wrote articles for Model Airplane News, and was Comet's top designer from 1939 till 1945. After Comet, he worked with Mike Schlesinger and Sid Axelrod on what eventually became Top-Flite Models. In 1955 he founded Carl Goldberg Models and released a still-popular line of scale, rubber, gas, glider and RC models. Needless to say, Goldberg's models are of the highest quality.
