1953 issue in the 'S' box and famous artwork. Very good deck and outline details. Molded in the correct early issue high-gloss white plastic. Includes rigging instructions. Kit is 100% complete with all parts, decals, flag sheet and instructions. There is some assembly: front and aft decks have been glued to the hull. Quality of assembly is excellent. No other assembly. Box would have graded 'Near Mint' but there is a 2.5 by 1 inch litho tear on one long side panel.

Does not have the original box. 1970s reissue of the large scale four star model. The kit has several action features: When you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Kit features a movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit and sliding canopy. Kit has minor paint: inside fuselage has been painted the correct interior green. No other paint and no assembly. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions. Missing decals.

Kit was made by Miniature Ship Models, Inc in Perkasie, PA but marketed by Wards who put their name on the box and gave the kit a part number. I would date this kit between the late 1930s and 1940s. All parts are precut and there is no shaping to do. Kit consists of about 77 pre-colored (stained or painted) wooden parts and a small bag of metal parts (such as chain) and full instructions. Model is about 8 inches long (estimated) when assembled. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions. Original box is in excellent condition and is almost as new.
