Very rare. This excellent limited edition model features main airframe parts in professional-grade resin castings, fine white metal details, excellent full cockpit, clear canopy that is in perfect condition (perfectly clear and no yellowing), optional landing skids and more. Includes painting guide and full decals. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Tsybin RSR (Reactivnyy Strategicheskiy Razvedchik, Russian for "jet strategic reconnaissance") was a Soviet design for an advanced, long-range, Mach 3 strategic reconnaissance aircraft. A simplified, full-sized aerodynamic prototype for the novel layout, the NM-1 was built in 1957. Intended for low-speed handling tests, the NM-1 had a steel-tube fuselage with duraluminium and plywood skinning.[4] This aircraft, powered by two Mikulin AM-5 turbojets first flew on 7 April 1959.[3] Based on the results of these trials, the RSR was redesigned (as the R-020) to make it more maneuvrable at high altitude (it was proposed to carry out barrel rolls to avoid surface-to-air missiles). More conventional Tumansky R-11 turbojets (the engine used in the MiG-21) replaced the unavailable Soloviev turbofans. Five R-020 airframes were virtually complete, only awaiting engines by April 1961, with another 10 planned, when Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev canceled the program.

This is the original late 1950s issue with fantastic Ray Gaedke box art and a fine kit for that time. In 1931, Post and Gatty flew the Vega 'Winnie Mae' around the world in 8 days, 15 hours and 8 minutes for a new world record. In 1933 Post tested a gyroscope automatic pilot and radio direction finder in another record flight lasting 7 days, 18 hours and 45 minutes. This aircraft is now in the Smithsonian Museum. the Lockheed Vega did see military service, with a few operated by the RAAF, Spanish Republic Air Force and USAAC. This model features moving control surfaces, cockpit detail, rotating propeller and wheels and more. Includes a clear display stand and very colorful and complete Winnie Mae decals. Never started. From my friend Dusty Rhodes: Several sources record that some unfortunate sheep gave their lives to demonstrate the lethality of the main battery's muzzle blast. The vessel was reported to have been exceedingly wet aft, especially under way, with a freeboard of about six feet. She was jocularly known among some English speakers as "The Angry Cat" (~ Henri Quatre). Although sometimes described as an eccentric and dangerous experiment in battleship design, The Angry Cat played a significant combatant role in the Eastern Med in the First World War and was damaged by Turkish shore battery fire in the Dardanelles.

1958 dated hardbox that is in exceptional 'Near Mint' condition. It would have graded nearly mint, but there is a '40' in black ink written on the right short side when the kit was marked down to this new price. Molded in silver and clear with full landing gear, display stand and decals for 'FB-419.' The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Around this time, Aurora issued a series of inexpensive (usually 29 cent) small scale kits that were designed to sell at almost any type of retail location. The line was successful and further expanded - when Aurora purchased the Comet molds, they fit in nicely with this established line.
