1970s issue of this quality Airfix model issued by MPC in the popular Profile Series line with markings for three aircraft: 466 BG, 8th AF - 98 BG, 15th AF and RAF 356 Sqdn, SEAC. This was a well detailed model for that time featuring elevating guns and rotating turrets, movable control surfaces, retractable landing gear, crew members, rotating propellers and wheels, optional position crew entry door & ladder and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition which is rare for these 1970s MPC kits.

Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. LS was one of the earliest Japanese manufacturers to produce very high quality kits. Some of the LS molds are still used today by Hasegawa, testifying to their detail and accuracy. DD-792 USS Callaghan was sunk July 9, 1945, by a Willow configured for kamikaze attack. It has been reported the light construction of the aircraft prevented the ship's AA ammunition proximity fuses from detonating. The type was also reported to have been used by Indonesian forces against Dutch colonial rule in 1947.

Very high quality kit with legendary LS attention to detail. The glossy box has excellent artwork. The kit is engineered for two electric motors; however, LS did not include them as they were sold separately. The batteries are held in a cleverly designed matching-scale fuel truck. Features all fine recessed panel lines, very good cockpit and crew station detail with crew, rotating turret with elevating gun, torpedo load with ground torpedo trolley, working bomb bay doors, working crew entry door, working slide-out style trailing edge wing flaps and ailerons, retractable main and tail landing gear with operating gear doors, rotating wheels & propellers, ground crew, wheel chocks and more. Includes decals and a beautiful and large full color painting guide for three different aircraft and a high-gloss, full color lithograph of a cutaway fuselage with full interior in case you wish to add even more. Never started. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The fact that Hasegawa still uses some LS molds testifies to their detail and accuracy.
