From the 1930s. This is a Cleveland 'SF' or 'Scale Flying' model in museum scale of 1/16. The kit is in the older cardboard box with 'Cleveland World Famous Models' in silver print. All Cleveland kits were exceptionally complete and this one is no exception. Features very high quality balsa printwood and strip wood, covering material, fully formed wheels, thrust button and spinner, pre-drilled nose block, other blocks as required, CDs famous black fibre propeller, metal and wood stock and more. Includes CDs highest quality plans. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and plans/instructions. The Cleveland Model and Supply Company played a pivotal role in the development of true scale models. In 1909 Bleriot's English Channel flight caused a surge in aviation and model aircraft around the globe. Several companies were ideally positioned to take advantage of the aviation craze. In the USA, Wading River Manufacturing Co. (1909), White Aeroplane (1911), Ideal Model Aeroplane (1911), Broadfield Model Aeroplanes (1919) were among these pioneers, offering everything from plans and parts to complete kits and ARF models. Lindbergh's 1927 crossing of the Atlantic Ocean caused an even bigger world-wide phenomenon called 'The Aviation Craze' that extended up to the start of World War II. Many companies such as Megow, Guillow's and others started right around the time of Lindbergh's flight. Some of these models flew and flew well, but they all had one thing in common - were generally not accurate scale representations. In 1929, a youngster named Ed Packard had a very advanced dream to produce incredibly accurate, true scale models that flew perfectly. This radical idea established the world's longest operating single-owner model airplane supply business, called Cleveland Model and Supply Company. To this day, Cleveland models are treasured as the most accurate flying scale models produced. The fact that Mr. Packard started and successfully grew this business during The Great Depression is a testament to his ideals and business skill. I highly suggest the excellent book called 'Aviations great Recruiter, Cleveland's Ed Packard' by H.L. (Herm) Schreiner. It is an excellent history of the man, his company and the times of the Golden Age of Model Aviation.

The I-19 is famous for firing history's most successful torpedo spread. On September 14, 1942 off Guadalcanal, the I-19 was patrolling of the Solomons when she fired a 6 torpedo spread. Three hit and sank the US Carrier CV-7 WASP, and the remaining three exploded against the BB North Carolina and the destroyer O'Brien. The destroyer sank & the North Carolina had to be repaired at Pearl and did not enter service again until November 16, 1942. The I-19's Glen seaplane also flew night reconnaissance on February 23, 1942 over Pearl Harbor for the planned second attack by Emily flying boats on that base. This kit is the 1969 issue in the 'Big A' logo hardbox. This large scale kit is almost 16 inches long when assembled and is an excellent model from Aurora's best efforts of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Aurora knew that most of their kits were outclassed, so in the mid and late 1960s they cut a new molds with much better detail - the I-19 was one of those. Includes display stand, a large wood-grained display base, decals, periscope and cranes, detailed Glen Seaplane, conning tower, deck guns and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

The last full size Chevrolet with rear wheel drive was the famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) Caprice. Described as "Beautifully Aerodynamic" or "An Upside-Down Bathtub", most folks either loved or hated the design. But there was no mistaking the popularity and reliability. Civil sales were impressive and fleet sales to taxi or public service sectors were even more so. This kit is well detailed with full engine, engine compartment, opening hood, full suspension and underbody, complete interior, optional parts for Fire Chief and Taxi versions, rubber tires and much more. NOTE: this kit has minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: upper control arms, radiator & front suspension to chassis; (1) side view mirror to door; light bar built. There is no other assembly. Inventoried and NOTE: missing (1) part, the fire-chief radio. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions.

Rare early Revell kit from 1955. Very well molded and detailed kit contains everything you need for the western diorama on the box top- nine animals, six cowboys, fence, saddle, pail, packs, rifle, skull, wagon wheel and more. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed 'krinkle' bag and includes instructions. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glasser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also.

Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Please NOTE that the box displays 'Good' or slightly better but is graded 'Fair' because it has two closed holes near the back of the boosters and a long closed split on the box top running from the lower far left side to the end of the blue logo background on the lower right. There decals are in amazing 'excellent+' condition. The instructions are fine other than the small, closed holes in the instructions from whatever punched the holes in the box.

Very rare. This excellent, limited edition model features main airframe parts in professional-grade resin castings, numerous photoetched parts on three brass frets, cast metal landing gear struts, very good cockpit, printed instruments and more. The kit has never been started. Most parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the ones that are not sealed have been inventoried complete and includes decals and instructions. Please note: the instructions provided by Kora do double duty for both the H-1 and H-2 kits. As a result, they show a parts layout for both. When you receive the kit, please remember that this is the H-1 version only; naturally it does not include any of the H-2 version parts. The small parts were very challenging to inventory as the parts diagram is very basic and crude; however, the correct number of parts is present.
