Features fine recessed panel lines, 'good' cockpit, many optional position underside doors and/or exhaust vents, full landing gear and more. Includes decals for multiple aircraft. The Yak-36 was designer Alexander Yakovlev's creation. He was so impressed when he saw the British Short SC.1 perform at Farnborough that he built a test-bed similar to the Hawker Kestrel style. Three prototypes were built, numbered 36,37 and 38. The first flight was in 1966 and it was first displayed to the public at the Domodedovo Air Show in 1967. NATO intelligence was shocked at the appearance of a VTOL aircraft; however they need not have worried as the Yak-36 was unstable and unsuited for combat. However, the experience gained was important to the future development of the much more successful Yak-38 Forger.

This is one of three known Craftmaster issues of this kit. This model shares the 6 digit price extension with the 'White' box, but has black box sides. There is also a 13-39 'Small Black' box in the smaller format with black sides.

1960s issue with vivid artwork. A pilot ejects on a pillar of flame as his stricken EE plunges earthward trailing black smoke. Despite this dramatic scene, in actual history, XM192 enjoyed a long career with 111 and 145 squadrons, retiring intact in 1973 to become a ground display aircraft. Never started. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Nicely molded and detailed kit that features 107 pieces, opening and closing nose clamshell cargo doors, good cockpit detail, crew of two, moving ailerons, elevator & rudder, removable front loading ramp and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Superfreighter was an improved version of the Bristol Freighter. It was designed in 1952 and entered service in 1953 with Silver City Airways. Superfreighter's ease of maintenance, rugged design and ability to carry large loads made it immediately successful with the RAF and eight other air forces around the worlds, as well as with several airlines. Channel Air Bridge even operated a car ferry service across the channel.
