Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG+

This is the original 1967 RB-66 issue, not the reissue from the 1990s. Nicely molded kit from the original 'Four Star' molds. Features rear gun turret, cockpit with three crew, opening bomb bay and bomb. Molded in gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. The box displays much better than the 'very good+' grade but is rated as such because there is tape residue at the center of the two long sides. When the Air Force phased out the B-66, they converted many into ECM aircraft, hence the RB-66A. Monogram seized this opportunity as a new lease on life for the B-66 molds and the result was this issue as RB-66 aircraft were being used in Vietnam in the late 1960s.

In 1966 Hertz and Shelby teamed up to make make and rent one of the fastest rental cars of all time - the Shelby GT-350H. The cars became the stuff of legends. Want-to-be racers would rent the car Friday night, swap out rear ends and other bolt-on modifications, race them Saturday & Sunday and return the car to stock (to Hertz) on Sunday. The Hertz "Rent-A-Racer" was not financially successful due to the high maintenance costs and upkeep, but a GT-350H these days can fetch upward of $200,000. This Monogram model features detailed engine and engine compartment, opening hood, complete interior, detailed chassis with front suspension & springs, dual exhaust, rear suspension & driveline and more. Includes decals with all of the special Hertz GT-350H trim and gold stripes. Molded in black & clear with many chrome plated parts and rubber tires. Inside, the kit is as it left the factory. The black parts are still in the factory sealed bag. The clear and chrome parts were never factory sealed and have been inventoried complete. With decals and instructions.

Designed as a two seat observation aircraft in the 1930s, 203 of these aircraft were built for WWII. First flight was made in 1941. However, battlefield experience proved that it would likely be a one way mission, so they were used for training. 19 were supplied to the Soviet Union under Lend-Lease. Includes resin details and full decals for either version. Never started. Factory sealed bag with decals and instructions.

Molded in multiple plastic colors, chrome, clear and with rubber tires.

2013 reissue from the original molds. This large model has 156 parts and many action features. The kit of the six-wheel drive 5 ton Wrecker was designed straight from US Army Blueprints and data from the US Army Ordnance Corps. The kit incorporates nearly all the movable features of the actual equipment. The front wheels steer realistically, the hood opens to show the highly detailed engine, the windshield is collapsible and the doors of the cab can be opened and closed. The cab can be enclosed with a simulated canvas top. The rear train provides realistic suspension over irregular surfaces. The crane is completely operable and can hoist actual objects. The winch can be used realistically to pull other models. The jacks can be extended and lowered to support the truck. Additional sheave blocks are provided for hoisting and pulling operations. All four functions of the crane - lifting or lowering the shipper, extending or retracting the boom, winding or unwinding the hoist drum and swinging the boom to the left or right - can be realistically simulated. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Fantastic kit from the 1950s in an 'excellent' condition box. The classic artwork shows the Nike Ajax blowing up what appears to be a B-17 over an American city. Judging from the fiery blast from the launching Ajax in the background, these two ground crew may not make it away from this missile in time. This is a superb model for that time that still rates well today. Features detailed missile with separating stages, operating control surfaces, operating launcher and more. The launcher is designed to connect other models to form an entire Nike Ajax Battery for the ultimate diorama. Molded in olive drab and white. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Limited run. Nicely done with both injection molded missile models and a cast metal display stand in the shape of Iraq with "SCUD VS. PATRIOT" in raised letters. The stand arm is also metal as well. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. "On Target Models" was a cooperative effort between Meikraft Models and 12 Squared. A second model, the X-31 was announced but I have yet to see one; perhaps it will surface one day. Meikraft and 12 Squared were among the early American companies to produce short run injection molded kits.

From 1996 and the only injection molded plastic kit of the 'Flugzeugtrager A' or 'Aircraft Carrier A". Very nicely molded and highly detailed model with 161 pieces from then-new Revell of Germany molds. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. This German WWII aircraft carrier has a fascinating history. She was laid down in 1936, and launched in 1938. Raeder pressed for proper fitting out and completion, but ran into continuous and powerful resistance from Goring, who did not like the idea of the Navy having a mobile air-arm. Goring's interference proved conclusive and the ship, which was 95% complete, never entered service. The air wing was to be navalized Bf-109 Fighters and Ju-87 Dive Bombers. Work stopped completely in 1943 as Hitler became frustrated with the Navy. On April 25, 1945, the Germans scuttled the nearly complete carrier at Stettin just before the Russians arrived. What happened next has been unclear for years. It was generally assumed that the ship struck a mine and sank after the Soviets raised her. With the opening of Russian records, this story can be completed. In 1946 the Soviets raised the ship and towed it to Leningrad. There, they hoped to rebuild it and use it for her intended purpose. This proved to be impossible at the time, so in 1947 it was towed to sea and used as an target. In 2006, the wreck was actually located.

This was always a high quality kit that is even better with the new decals for three pioneering airline companies.
