Often called the first 'Modern Airliner', the successful Boeing 247 was one the earliest transports with all metal construction, retractable landing gear, de-icers and controllable pitch props. Includes two types of windshields, rubber tires, optional position landing gear and struts. Has full interior detail for two ships: long-range tanks and accessories for Col. Turner's MacRobertson Race Entry, and complete passenger seat interior for United version. Colorful markings for Turners racer or the UAL ship shown on the cover. Never started. The Gamma was designed by John Northrop and was considered very advanced in 1933. The airplane was an instant success. Texaco took delivery of the first one and set numerous cross-country speed records, in addition to being a crowd favorite at air shows. Dr. Lincoln Ellsworth used a Gamma in 1935 for a successful Trans-Antarctic Flight in the 'Polar Star'. This aircraft now rests in the Smithsonian. Gammas were also flown by Howard Hughes and Jacqueline Cochran. The model is very nicely molded and detailed and can build one of two versions of the Sky Chief (Phase I or III) or one of two versions of the Polar Star (Phase I or II)and includes all optional parts required to do so including two different engines, cowlings, nose sections, two and three blade propellers, canopies, one and two seat cockpits and tail wheels as required. Includes an extensive Micro-Scale color decal sheet for two versions each of the Polar Star and Sky Chief. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals and instructions have no stains and are in 'near mint' condition. The box top has a stain as shown in the photo.

From the 1980s and a good, large 1/32 kit of this legendary 1930s racing aircraft. Features detailed cockpit, all parts needed to build one of four versions, detailed engine and more. With a very detailed paint guide and decal sheet for four aircraft; the decals are extensive and even includes the fine red, white and blue fuselage stripe. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The French Caudron was a aerodynamically beautiful aircraft. It won the 1936 Thompson and Greve Trophies as well as the 1933, '34 and '35 Coupe Deutsch de la Meurthe European races.

Older but nicely detailed and includes decals for two USAAF ships, the civil and colorful Flying Tigers Line freight airline and the Chinese Air Force. Features choice of 3 blade Hamilton or 4 blade Curtis Props, cockpit detail, hard or rubber wheels, dual position landing gear and more. NOTE: this kit has 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: wing halves; nacelles; cockpit interior; horizontal stabilizer halves; 3 blade hubs (rear section) to engine fronts; one gear strut assembly to landing gear plate. The interior parts have been painted silver. There is no other assembly. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one gear strut plate; easily made as it is a flat parts. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions.

The B-10 was a highly advanced aircraft for the 1930s, featuring fully enclosed crew, retractable landing gear, controllable pitch propellers and revolving turret. This model is very nicely detailed and molded. Still factory sealed. 1970s issue of the engine that powered Lindberg's Spirit of St. Louis across the Atlantic Ocean. Large 1/8 scale. Very highly detailed kit with over 150 parts. Complete engine includes crankcase, 9 cylinders, two magnetos, carburetor air heater, fuel pump, oil pump, accessories, mounting ring, carburetor and fuel system, vinyl wires for the distributor blocks and dual ignition system and more. A name plate label is included with a Wright J-5 decal. The Wright J-5 powered a great many famous aircraft of the day - the Bellanca 'Columbia', Boeing Model 72, Cessna Cabin, Curtiss Lark, Fairchild Cabin, Fokker Universal and C-2 / F-7 Trimotors, early Ford Trimotors, Keystone Pathfinder, Lockheed Vega, Sikorsky S-36 and many others.
