This Mirage caan be built as one of four versions with two air forces: Swiss 'S' fighter or 'RD' Reconnaissance or 'R' French Reconnaissance or 'E' Fighter. Features detailed cockpit with hinged canopy, four underwing fuel tanks, removable Snecma Atar 9C engine, Sidewinders, 10 bombs and pilot, movable wheels and clear lights. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Original 1955 "S" hardbox issue that features a scale tow tractor, driver & tow bar, pilot and basic cockpit, detailed main gear wells, full landing gear and the famous Revell "S" clear 'globe' display stand. Molded in the correct white and green tinted clear plastic. There is no assembly but NOTE: this kit has minor and neat painting as noted: inside of the (2) main gear doors, nose wheel, and tractor halves (very neatly done yellow with some details in red and tan. There is no other painting. Inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

There is no other assembly. The exhaust is partially painted; there is no other painting. Inventoried 100% complete and includes decals and high-quality photocopied instructions (the original instructions are missing).

1985 Revell of Germany reissue from the original 1974 USA molds. Can be built waterline or full hull with complete propeller and rudder detail. Features detailed deck and superstructure, rotating main 8" turrets, six dual AA gun mounts, three rangefinders, cranes, gun directors, searchlights, AR-196 floatplane and more. The Blucher had the dubious distinction of being the only capital ship sunk in WWII by coastal torpedo batteries. She was also the only German capital ship to be sunk during the Norway invasion of April 1940, repeating the history of the previous Armored Cruiser Blucher which was the only capital ship lost at the Battle of Dogger Bank in WWI. The WWII Blucher was surprised by Norwegian coastal torpedo batteries and guns from the fortress of Oscarsborg while sailing up the fjord towards Oslo.

1961 'Master Modelers Club' and 'Air Power' hardbox issue sporting the original 'S' kit box artwork. Inside, the airplane is from the original 1950s 'S' molds and even has the original decal artwork for The Flying Dragon. Well molded and features rotating turrets and propellers, pilot, copilot and bomber figures and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Does not include trading cards or stamp. The box looks slightly better than the 'very good' ranking but is rated as suchj because there is a small price tag on the left side panel and a 1.25" x .75" tape tear on the upper long panel.

Literally all of the contents are factory sealed.

1960 issue hardbox with full artwork; Highway Pioneers prior to this year simply had generic artwork and an ink stamped name on the box ends was the only way to identify the contents. This kit has never been started. All parts are still sealed in the factory bag. Includes instructions. The box would rate slightly higher than 'very good' but there is age foxing on the box side panels. These kits have a fascinating history. Hobbies were nothing new to America in the 1930s/40s, but they were not mainstream and never made the top 10 list of boys activities. Spurred on by the nation-wide aviation craze in the 1920s, many became modelers and built flying or static wooden models of airplanes, ships, trains, automotive and other subjects. Basic kits existed, but many of these models were built from scratch, which demanded a high talent level developed from years of experience. That changed in the early 1950s when the Gowland & Gowland/Revell Highway Pioneers became the sales sensation of the year. Demand was so great that the factories could not keep up and almost overnight 'model building' was mainstream. The phenomenon of the 'Highway Pioneers' kits was a significant force in proving that model building as a hobby could have mass appeal, provided that the kits were easy enough to build and finish. These 1/32 scale vehicles fit the bill: they could be built in an hour after dinner and looked much like the real cars. The success of the Highway Pioneers lead to the production of other subjects in plastic and the effect was revolutionary. By the late 1950s, model building was the #1 past time of American boys...and many adult males too!

1953 early issue molded in green plastic. This is from the issues produced by Gowland & Gowland as it carrier their 'balloon' logo on the side. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Before the 1950s 'model building' never made the top 10 list of boy's activities.
