Hard-to-find 3-color plastic soft box issue from 1969 that includes the 'Everything Is Go' story booklet. The parts are molded in the correct gray, silver and yellow. Includes the 'Everything Is Go' booklet telling the story of the Friendship 7/Lt. Col. Glenn Flight. This kit was modified from the Atlas Ballistic Missile molds. It is the single greatest model kit for the Mercury Atlas program. Contains highly detailed Atlas/Mercury, launching pad, ramp, tractor transports, nitrogen tank and trailer & much more. 1971 issue of this large-scale and well detailed kit with RAF South East Asian markings. Features a detailed R-2800 engine with removable access panels, fully detailed cockpit, pilot figure, rotating wheels and propeller, detailed gear wells and more. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Decals are for GQ-F FL804 of 134 Sqdn., 1944-45. This aircraft is reported to have participated in the reconquest of Burma, and to have flown ground attack missions in support of the Allied landings at Rangoon. It appears the box artist may have intended to depict that operation (thanks to Dusty Rhodes for that information about the box art aircraft).

Rare hardbox kit from 1961 has fantastic artwork of an RAF Canberra flying over 'The Rock'. Based on the 1950s B-57 "S" kit, the Whip-Fly Canberra comes with RAF decals, flight ballast, control handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers for the jet engines and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions included. The box would grade slightly higher than 'excellent' but it rated as such because there is residue from old tape on the two long sides. Included in the famous 'Whip Fly' series are the H151 F9F-8 Cougar, H152 F-84F, H153 F-89D Scorpion, H154 F8U-1 Crusader, H155 F-39 Airacobra and H156 F-101A Voodoo. Although not listed yet, there was also a Whip-Fly Canberra, F-106 and Yak-25 Flashlight. The Whip-Fly series seemed like a good idea...at first. Revell quickly realized that spinning heavily-ballasted, sharp objects at dizzying speeds in or outside the home around groups of children was not the best idea. The series was quickly discontinued.

This kit features detailed interior, opening bonnet, detailed 5.3 liter V-12, one piece body, detailed undercarriage, 5 spoke Jaguar rims with Dunlop SP Sport Tires and more. Molded in white, black and clear plastic. Inside, the kit is as it left the factory. The black parts are still in the factory sealed bag. The clear and white parts were never factory sealed and have been inventoried complete. With decals and instructions.
