NOTE: bagged kit; there is no box. The box is shown for reference only. Dated 1967. Finely molded with the excellent detail and fit that Monogram was famous for. Never started. It has been inventoried with all aircraft parts present but NOTE: missing display stand. Includes decals and instructions. The Hawk P-36A has the dubious distinction of fighting on both sides and for more countries than any other plane in history during the opening years of WWII. This Hawk, one in a long progression of famous fighter aircraft, was the winner of a 1935 competition. The USAA Corps received the first aircraft in April of 1938 and the French ordered 100 aircraft in May of the same year. French Hawks shot down just over 30 German planes during the battle for France. The Germans captured the aircraft and sold them to Finland. Others were captured when the Germans overran Norway. In all over 800 Hawks were produced and served in China, Netherlands East Indies, Portugal, Great Britain, Thailand, Argentina and Peru. Although an excellent fighter in 1935, the Hawk was outclassed by the time the war started but when flown properly still gave a good account of itself.

Rare kit from 1966 features factory painted camouflage, operating canopy, optional position landing gear, rolling wheels and drop tanks. The factory camo paint is in amazing 'near mint+' condition. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box has a stain at the right as shown, but the decal and instructions have no stains and are in amazing 'near mint' condition.

Dated 1968 and part of a very famous World War II action kit line that Monogram issued in 1/48 scale. It is very well molded, has perfect fit and finish and features retractable landing gear, pilot figure, rotating propeller & wheels and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
