Very rare 1940s wartime Guillow's model. This is a stick and tissue flying model featuring factory-cut stringers and spars, two sheets of quality printwood, nose block, finished thrust button, 80% finished wooden propeller and colored tissue/covering paper. There is an excellent set of full-size plans with detailed instructions and printed insignia. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. This was one of a very large line of Guillow's flying models with similar wingspans - the back of the pictures and list no less than 24 of them. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. This is a Cleveland 'SF' or 'Scale Flying' model in museum scale of 1/16. This is an early cardboard box issue with silver printing. All Cleveland kits were very complete and this one is no exception. Features very high quality balsa printwood and strip wood, covering material, pre-carved nose, partially machined wheel pants, finished wheels, ready to use prop blades, markings to convert the aircraft to the 1939 race winner, highest quality plans, and more. Very, very rare model for the advanced wood kit collector. This is a Joe Ott solid wood scale model gift set that includes all four aircraft models. Features four fuselage blocks with the fuselage outlines printed on them, four sheets of printwood, color insignia sheets for each aircraft, sandpaper, an unopened metal tube of glue, a large glass bottle with paint (dried up of course) and a huge, fold-out set of plans and instructions that separately covers all four models. The plans include fuselage and wing templates, a drawing of the finished model and text instructions. Each model has a 9 inch wingspan. The instructions are 'good+' and completely usable, but they are not perfect. This model has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts for four kits and all paperwork present. The box is intact (which is amazing) but it has wear, split corners and closed tears on the two short side panels.

Rare kit from 1942. This is a scale solid wood kit with an 11 inch wingspan. The scale is given on the plans as 5/16" = 1'. It features balsa wood blocks and sheet as required, very thick and heavy printed cardstock parts, color insignia and full size plans with templates & construction notes. This is a typical kit from this era that requires serious carving and shaping skills. Complete and never started. NOTE: the plans have some bug damage. The plans are still usable but the damage is significant. The Seversky 2PA is the two-seat version of the single seat P-35 model manufactured by the Seversky Company, which was later reformed under the name Republic Aviation. In 1935-39, Seversky sold 20 of the aircraft to Japan. The Japanese Navy designated as these as ASV-1 s. Later, Sweden ordered 52 which carried the designation B6.In June 1940, the United States government ordered an embargo on the sale of U.S. made aircraft to all foreign countries except Britain. Sweden had received two aircraft of their order, and the remaining 50 were sold to the United States Army Air Corps and designated the AT-12 Guardsman. It is unlikely that any AT-12 served as an advanced trainer, however, as most were allocated during World War 2 to USAAC base commanding officers as fast transport aircraft. Marvel was a popular manufacture with a large line of army vehicles, tanks of all nations, aircraft and more.
