Very rare, one and only issue dated 1960. When Monogram invested in the tooling for the 18 aircraft "Air Power" set, the sales did not meet expectations. In order to increase revenue from the molds, Monogram issued three separate kits- the "Refueling Group," "Bomber Group" and "Fighter Group" in the "Forty Niner" series with the Tu-16 Badger, F-101 and P-40. These kits utilized aircraft from the Air Power set with special blue-molded display stands, unique decals and instructions. The two aircraft are well molded with recessed panel line detail. Decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition and the instructions in 'near mint+' condition. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: this kit must be shipped double-boxed for protection.

Rare very early issue from 1956 with Northern Lights logo and the 69 cent price circle on the right of the box top. What is most unusual is that the price is within a red-filled circle; this is the first instance of this that I have seen. Just when you think you have Aurora's kit history figured out, they throw you another curve ball! Molded in the correct glossy dark green and black. Decals and instructions are correct for the first issue as well. There is no assembly but NOTE: the outlines of the Maltese crosses have been painted on the wings and fuselage. You can remove this paint with any safe plastic paint stripper - I personally like spray-on oven cleaner. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Very rare and early MPC kit with the old logo. Of the Gangbusters series, this Roadster is much more difficult to find than the more common Phaeton. Highly detailed with well over 150 parts and features optional parts and decals for all three versions, rolling frame construction just like the actual automobile, detailed flat-head V-8, hinged, opening hood, side-mount spare tires, steerable front wheels, wire wheels, rubber tires with wide whitewall inserts, opening rumble seat, interchangeable convertible top and boot, optional trunk, Gangster and Gun Moll figures, bullet-riddled windshield and radiator, arsenal of weapons, violin case, bootleg bottles and cases, secret weapons compartment and more. Never started. It has been inventoried and the actual car and accessories are complete but NOTE: missing (1) ankle/foot of the lady figure. Otherwise complete with all other parts present. Includes decals and instructions but NOTE: the decals have tire burns. There is a vertical strip of tape across the center left of the box as shown.

Early 1970s large-scale issue for rubber or gas free flight; easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. This kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality printwood, factory cut stringers and spars, blocks and wood stock are required, fully shaped & finished main, tail wheel & thrust button, metal propeller shaft/rubber hook, covering tissue, clear canopy material, plastic flying propeller and scale balsa propeller, rubber motor and more. Includes a large insignia sheet and detailed full size plans that include text building instructions and additional construction drawings. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

This excellent pre-fabricated hardwood kit is large and very highly detailed for that time and features pre-cut and shaped hardwood parts, completely finished and machined wheels, beautifully turned gun barrel that is one foot long, sandpaper, CASCO glue, small parts envelope and two pages (front and back of one) of text and highly illustrated instructions. Very rare first issue from 1958. This is an excellent model that features 31 missiles, clear display base, color 'Missile Arsenal' insert that goes in from underneath and includes names for all the missiles, special display stands for the cruise missiles, full color decals and a special booklet called "Know Your Missiles" with an introduction by the famous space scientist Willy Ley. Only this issue has these exact missiles; future issues would delete some missiles and add newer ones. Molded in the correct deep red, dark blue, white and clear plastic. The box has four solid corners, no repairs, no tape or tape marks (except from the original factory sealing tape, of course), not price tags or tag marks, no rips or tears, no missing litho, no fading or stains. It is graded 'Good' because there is general wear, dings, creases, edge/corner wear and scuffs as shown. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, clear base, cardboard base insert in 'near mint' condition. Includes decals, instructions and "Know Your Missiles" booklet. Instructions and booklet are in 'near mint' condition and the decals are in amazing 'excellent++' condition. Please note that this kit must be shipped insured.

Very hard-to-find, first issue from 1961. The hardbox features beautiful John Steel frameable box art titled 'Victory Off Cherbourg', which was the harbor in France very near the Kearsarge's famous duel with the Confederate ship Alabama. This very large 1/96 scale ship measures 34.5 inches long when assembled. Very highly detailed, well molded and features pre-formed ratlines, two position gun ports, guns that turn and elevate, movable propeller, special stand, name plate and 20 action figures. Inside the kit has never been started and is as it left the factory. All small parts are still sealed in the factory bags. Only the hull halves were not sealed and they are present. Complete with two types of rigging material, metal chains, rat lines, USS Kearsarge history booklet, rat line cutting pattern, instructions, rigging diagrams and flag sheet. This kit has the factory painted hull which is in 'near mint' condition.
