Airfix Short Skyvan - NASA / Austrian / Olympic Airlines, 1/72, 04018

Nice kit of the popular short-range STOL commuter airliner and military transport. Features civil or military crew, cockpit detail, full cabin with nicely detailed passenger seats, optional cargo (military) interior, separately molded control surfaces and more. Includes decals for all three variants including Austrian Air Force, USA NASA and Greek Olympic Airways. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Airfix The Great Western Ocean Liner Bagged - Type One Logo, 1397

Still factory sealed. This is the very rare 1950s first issue with the original Airfix logo. The factory header is in 'very good' condition and is still factory stapled shut to the original plastic parts bag. Like most small scale Airfix ships, this one is very nicely molded and features a full hull, display stand, ratlines and more. Measures just over 6 inches in length when built. The Great Western was the first ship specifically built for the Atlantic Ferry Service and was designed by I.K. Brunel (who designed the Great Eastern). When launched in 1837, she carried 120 first class, 20 second class, and beds could be set up for an additional 100 if needed. The crew was 60 men. The first crossing of the Atlantic Ocean was in April of 1838 and took just over 15 days. After crossing the Atlantic 64 times, she ran for 10 years between Southampton and the West Indies before being broken up in 1857.

1960s issue with type 3 logo. Features moving rudder, elevator and ailerons, cockpit detail and torpedo loadout. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The SM-79 was considered an excellent aircraft and one of the best land based torpedo bombers of the war. Designed and serving as an airliner from 1934 onward, 100 were supplied to the Nationalist Air Force for the Spanish Civil War where they served as day and night bombers. The aircraft performed well in the Med and against Malta, sinking many allied ships.

Includes markings for two aircraft: the one on the box and a colorful red rudder/float/wing J2F-6 based at Kearney Air Base, Nebraska in 1948 that operated in Arctic rescue duty. The amazing Duck first flew in 1934, saw service all through WWII and was not phased out until the mid 1950s.

The kit is the large scale Airfix Japan issue; it is well detailed and features full hull, complete deck fittings, ships boats, preformed rat lines, detailed paddle wheels, billowing sails and much more.

Airfix Bristol Bloodhound Missile - Craftmaster Issue Box With A 1992 Kit Inside, 1/76, M7-49

NOTE: the kit inside is from 1992; the box is from the 1960s issue with fantastic art work. The Bloodhound was an early Mach 2 surface to air missile that defended Great Britain. The range was about 60 miles. The Bloodhound was launched with four solid rocket boosters. Once these burned out and fell away, the main ramjet took over and the missile road a radar beam to the illuminated target. This is a detailed and well molded kit for that time and includes one Bloodhound missile, working launcher assembly and transport trailer. NOTE: this kit has some 'excellent' quality subassembly as noted: jeep body shell built; launcher side panels to base; launcher "A" frame built (3 pieces). There is no other assembly. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions present.
