late 1950s Cellovision issue with great Ray Gaedke artwork. This XK 120 is molded in light blue and features a one-piece body (excellent for slot car conversion), windshield, chassis/underpan, steering wheel and four wheels/tires. While a simple kit, it does have very good interior and realistic lines. Never started. The actual car has been inventoried with all plastic parts and instructions present. NOTE: missing decals. The Cellovision window is intact and in 'very good' condition and the trading card is also 'very good.' The scale is not given; I have approximated it as 1/32. The actual model is 5.125 inches long.

Still factory sealed but the seal has splits. This 1985 Revell of Germany issue uses the same molds as the original 1969 issue. It is a very nice model of the German Navy's 'Lucky Ship' with an amazing history. The kit can be built waterline or full hull and features movable turrets, full primary and secondary armament, ships boats, Ar-196 floatplane and more.

Very high quality kit of the Luftwaffe version of V-2. The kit features high-definition cast resin parts with fine recessed panel lines, cast white metal main gear struts and tail wheel strut & wheel, very good cockpit & crew stations and high quality vacuformed clear canopies (two) that are in mint condition; perfectly clear and no yellowing. The kit has never been started. The parts are all still in the factory sealed bags and includes decals, instructions with aircraft history. P.1067 was the designation for the design that would fly the Olympic Torch non-stop from Berlin to Tokyo for the 1940 Olympic games. The specialized, long range monoplane eventually took the name Bf-261 when V1 and V2 were built. Power was provided by two DB 606A-1/B-1 coupled engines, each of which was a pair of DB601 liquid-cooled mounts driving a very large four bladed propeller. There was a crew of 5 and bunks were provided. The work slowed as hostilities picked up. Without it's intended mission, the 261 was considered for ultra-long range reconnaissance over the Atlantic Ocean, but the difficulty of fixing proper defensive guns caused engineers to give up the project. The three aircraft were used for performance calibration flights, some of very long range (almost 2,800 miles). V3 did see action in very long range military reconnaissance. No further aircraft were built. The Luftwaffe took all three of the Bf-261s into service with hopes of using them for very long range operations. V-1 and V-2 were extensively tested and modified for this purpose; their wartime participation is not known, only that both were damaged beyond repair at Lechfeld Airfield and scrapped in 1944 or 45. It is known that V-3 flew very long range, secret reconnaissance missions to the East and the West while in Luftwaffe colors. The fate of V-3 is not known.

1970s issue with fantastic box art. This is part of Nichimo's famous 1/500 scale battleship and heavy cruiser line. This full hull kit is designed for operation in water or static full hull or waterline display. Nicely detailed and features lower hull molded in a 'IJN Hull Red' and all other parts molded in a very realistic dark gray. Includes all hardware for motorizing with brass battery contacts, metal shaft, cv joint, switch and more. The kit has never been started. The I-19 is famous for firing history's most successful torpedo spread. On September 14, 1942 off Guadalcanal, the I-19 was patrolling of the Solomons when she fired a 6 torpedo spread. Three hit and sank the US Carrier CV-7 WASP, and the remaining three exploded against the BB North Carolina and the destroyer O'Brien. The destroyer sank & the North Carolina had to be repaired at Pearl and did not enter service again until November 16, 1942. The I-19's Glen seaplane also flew night reconnaissance on February 23, 1942 over Pearl Harbor for the planned second attack by Emily flying boats on that base. This kit is the 1969 issue in the 'Big A' logo hardbox. This large scale kit is almost 16 inches long when assembled and is an excellent model from Aurora's best efforts of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Aurora knew that most of their kits were outclassed, so in the mid and late 1960s they cut a new molds with much better detail - the I-19 was one of those. Includes display stand, a large wood-grained display base, decals, periscope and cranes, detailed Glen Seaplane, conning tower, deck guns and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Second issue hardbox from 1963 of this rare kit with great John Steel artwork. This is a well detailed model for that time which features 96 pieces, moving wheels, breech, recoil mechanism, limber and gun trails. Molded in gloss olive drab green and with black rubber tires. NOTE: this kit has very minor and 'professional' quality subassembly to only two parts: the gun barrel halves. There is no other assembly and zero painting. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. The box displays higher than the 'very good++' rating but it graded as such because there is scuffing on the four sides; the sides only rate 'good+.'

1964 issue of this classic kit that features beautiful John Steel boxart. Large and highly detailed. This is an early version of the kit with the hull factory painted copper below the waterline. The copper paint is in 'excellent' condition with only light wear. This impressive model measures 36 inches long and 22 inches high when assembled. Features highly detailed deck, deck houses, cargo holds and covers, masts, yards and booms, bilge pump, windlass, 20 crew figure, and lifeboats with oars, life preservers, anchors, metal anchor chains, figurehead, finely detailed hull, preformed ratlines and molded deadeyes, pin rails and blocks, full standing and running rigging instructions and diagrams, 35 pre-formed vac billowing sails and four types of thread in two colors for rigging. Includes draftline and transom decals. Molded in three colors. There is no assembly. NOTE: this is very minor painting. The port hull half has minor (and correct) white paint to the inside bulkhead and the outer rub lines are painted white. Quality of paint is 'very good+'. There is no other painting. The black and tan parts and the rigging material is still in the Revell factory sealed bags. The white parts were not sealed and have been inventoried complete. Includes decals in amazing 'near mint' condition, flag sheet, assembly instructions, complete rigging instructions, rat line cutting diagram and even the excellent booklet "The Cutty Sark And The Days of Sail." Even the vacuform sails are in 'very good+' condition which is rare. Please note, they are not mint. There is some wear but they are well above average.
