1987 reissue of the original 1967 kit. Very nicely done kit. Features 20 SBDs, 20" long hull, movable cranes and optional position elevators. The box art shows the wartime finish, but the kit contains decals for this or the prewar high-vis finish. The kit has never been started. Inside it is still factory bag sealed and includes decals and instructions. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and underwent temporary repairs in record time so she could take part in the Battle of Midway. Damaged by bombs and eventually a spread of submarine-fired 'Long Lance' torpedoes, she was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship.

The kit boxes inside are all in 'Near Mint' to 'Mint' condition. The condition of the models is as follows: PL-4 Skyknight, PL-6 Thunderstreak and PL-5 Skyray: never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. PL-3 Starfire: never started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing two pilot's busts. Otherwise complete with all other pieces, decals and instructions present.
